at the end of the VHS??????????

Not sure about the VHS version, although I would assume that it'd be the same as the DVD.

It's at the end of the DVD.
I usually just turn the player off when the movie ends.
Now i'll never do that again.

a Bullet to the gut isn't the same as a bullet to the brain or Heart.
Plus, he may have taken a piece out of the chest (see that scene after the credits in POTC:CTBP, he's lieing only a few feet away from it, and could only be stunned, but hasn't bled to death yet.

Why is it so hard to believe Barbossa wasn't dead?

We are talking about a movie series where the villain's head is an octopus.

how about this...that voodoo lady brought him back to life somehow...when Jack brought her the monkey...the monkey scurried the Barbosa, who was behind the curtain...you can see his boots move.

LOL!
Good point.
Speaking of Davy Jones.
Weren't the effects absolutely astonishing?
I had trouble telling what's real and what wasn't.

The Kraken alone is worth the price of admission. Well, the price of two admissions. :D

The Kraken's song is worth twice the Admission. The scene, i'll give you everything i got just to see it again.

Here's my review, don't like it? Go take a walk off the plank.

This is Indiana jones on steroids with some bloody pirate goodness thrown in for good measure.

The story? pretty weak actually, not bad, not great but story's not the real strength of these films anyway. oh but what an interesting one it is for this sea-quel tale. this davy jones guy is one very bad bad guy but with a soul, some tragic history about his lost love... it's interesting... we flesh out the previous characters more too. And that monkey who stole a coin at the end of the first is back and is of course immortal... no stone goes unturned, everyone from the first is back to do something this time i think. The comedy is good. The action and fx? Beyond brilliant. This is raiders of the lost chest with the Kraken of doom!!!!! it's that intense. holy crap, I can't believe some of the stuff i witnessed with that mighty beast's attacks. This is an amazing film and the ending is a shocker. I love the characters and hope everything turns out well for them in the end.

8.5/10

Arrrrrrrgh. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

That movie was great, saw it this afternoon, mostly to see the teaser, which wasn't attached

Once I finished pouting I really got into it. My audience didn't seem as enthused about the Black Pearl Capt coming back

I will certainly be adding this to my trilogy collection  :)

and how was barbosa still alive?
If you watch carefully in Tia Dalma's hut, there was a quick shot of the monkey ontop of a pair of boots... Additionally, Tia Dalma said they were going to need a captain who had himself sailed to the ends of the earth and back... So I'm guessing that Tia Dalma had some sort of hand in bringing Barbossa back to life.

Was there a point for Jack stealing a ring from Tia's hut that I missed?

Im going to see this again tomorrow. :D

I heart this film very much, I'd touch it in naughty places I would. :hyper:

It'll prolly tie in to the third film!

hes a pirate

Really? He's not a stock broker?

Anyone else think that the ring could play of some importance in the next movie, since it was made a point to show him stealing it?
