And it deserved every penny. $132 million is the first three days is very impressive and applaudable. I bet Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski are doing nudie runs right about now.

I felt that the movie dragged. The first one never felt long to me because I was having fun the whole time. This time around I realized at about 45 minutes in that I was bored. I kept denying it though because I really wanted to like it and I did enjoy certain aspects of it but at the end of the day the enjoyable parts for me at least, were few and far between. I felt that it refrenced the first film far too often and for god's sake, there was a "Matrix like" slow motion musket ball. Seriously when are filmakers going to realize that we have seen that slow motion bullet effect a million times before. Hyperbole aside, My friend and I both simultaniously coverd our faces and groaned at that moment.

Boring. Really boring. This film was way too long. It could easily have been half as long. It couldn't hold my attention at all. The one liners almost all fell flat for me. There was some decent ideas for action scenes and stuff, but I was too bored at that point to care.

Sounds like someone has ADD.

The only slow parts were the ones with Tia Dalma and the scenes with Lord Cutlett, but even the dialogue was banter filled in those scenes.

It's just the charisma Depp brings... I don't think he is all that great... but the people love this guy... Knightley is blah... Bloom is Bloom... the CGI is incredible... and it's an interesting tale... but I never got it either...

Of course unlike you and him, some people actually APPRECIATE great film and aren't nitpicking or questioning peoples taste when it comes to enjoying POTC.

Youre an ass plain and simple. On this same page I said I like the movie that it was ood but will never understand why a big deal is amde about them. I think Munich is a great film but people arent having orgasms over it. So look, the sooner you realize that people are always gonna have different opinions and not think stufff is as awesome as you may think it is the better. I think Johnny Depp is a great actor, long overdue for an Oscar, it doesnt chnage the fact that i think POTC are great movies but will never see the big deal made about them.

I don't mind if people dislike a movie, but as I said, when they don't offer anything intelligent other than, "It's boring", "It dragged on too long", and etc, then yes I will call them out for being the typical ADD personality.

How do I have ADD? I said I enjoyed the movies. Seriously, if ADD is the best insult you can come up with youre not even on my level yet. POTC to me is like Titanic for the next generation. A great movie which is overshadowed by the hype. And I never called people clueless, I just want to know why they think its so awesome. Its really a harmless question. Sorry I hurt your feelings.

I didnt think the movie was boring at all. The dialogue was great and I loved the action scenes. But I have ADD guys, so you shouldnt listen to me.

Some of you guys got to understand, just because some of us thought it was drawn out, doesn't mean you have ADD. It had it's faults, some scenes were drawn out or flat out pointless.

It's awesome it broke the record, BUT, Im not so sure it will maintain those numbers because of it being so drawn out. I know I wasn't the only one fidgeting in my seat during that last half hour in the theatre. And then theres the darker tone that seemingly put some parents off. I know I'll be waiting for DVD to see it again. I guess we will see.

True, I saw plenty of adults looking at their watches. The movie was too long IMO.
