Great damn movie. Even though it was 2hr 30 min it didnt feel like it. I didnt want the movie to end. Great damn ending especially with *SPOILERS* Barbosa showing up and eating the apple(He's been wanting to eat an apple since the first film lol) Johnny Depp is the best freaking actor, Captain Jack Sparrow is the best damn character I have ever seen in my cinema experience. He's so kick ass and he represents what I feel and want half of the time. RUM! lol But seriously Johnny Depp loves the character and it shows. Everyone did a great job. Orlando Bloom was more watchable in this movie, he was actually pretty funny in som scenes. Keira was great with that cute but independent attitude, loved her as swann. Davy Jones was so bad ass, he looked bad ass too. Best damn movie of the summer. I was shocked. I wasnt bored at all. This was like the empire strikes back of the trilogy's let's hope that POTC3 isnt the ROTJ and more like Return of The King. Something tells me that POTC3 is going to be huge.

Though that whole bit played out like a live action Looney Tunes, which some complained about but I thought was funny.

I wasn't real about that scene. And the Guy losing his head I thought was sorta stupid.

Good flick. GREAT ENDING!!

I'd say not quite as good overall as the first one. I would rather have seen a bit more funny - light side of Jack Sparrow - rather than dark. Especially the darkness of Davy's crew. Some is fine, just overdone a bit. A little more succinct storytelling. I felt a little like I was just being setup for the next one rather than in a unique story of its own. Still though, rather minor complaints.

A good movie, I'll give it a 7 out of 10. The first a 7.5 or 8. Depp is great of course.

Superb ending though! Really made the film for me.

Am i the only one who thaught Jack showed alot of character at the end. He may have been a heel for what he did to Will but Will did get the key. And i bet Jack hoped he could escape.

Anywho Jack came back to save the day. He could have gotten away,but no he did the right thing. You could see his heart break with the idea of leaving although we don't know if he would have for Elizabeth made his choice. I wold have been pissed at her but no he just says Pirate. Then he gets free and then gets his hat back. Then he says something like come on beasty. he leaps into battle. Great ending for the anti hero don't you think.

No, Return of the Jedi was the ultimate climax, maybe with RoTK as a close 2nd, or vice versa. PoTC is headed into Matrix/Back to the Future territory with this outing, despite what millions of 12 year old girls think of JD and OB.

You know, the more I think about it the more this movie feels like Empire. Compared to the first one it's doom and gloom...much like Empire. Are heroes are at odds with each other, border line fighting over the girl.

At the end it seems like all hope is lost but an old friend who betrayed Sparrow returns and decides to help our heroes rescue Jack and before all goes to black we have a glimmer of hope.

Granted, I doubt Barbossa pulled a Lando....but still.
