I'll deffs go see this in the cinema, just to get the proper big screen, surround sound experience.

I've watched it with a few of my mates now, they don't care for comic books anymore, they used to read em. They weren't interested in this film at all before, but now we are all gonna go see it at the cinema. With maybe some magic mushrooms :D Trust me, they make the viewing experience more memorable. I remember a few of us got on the shrooms to see Revenge of the Sith, and the opening scene above Coruscant was mind blowing.

No wonder why you like so many crappy movies:woot:

I keed I keed. But honestly, all the stoners loved Speed Racer:o

I'm more than certain that watching the leak with the unfinished effects while under the effects of hallucinogens is much more entertaining than watching the completed film will be.

"Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in." is PURE comic book Sabretooth.

I can't believe you're gonna mess with that line :whatever:

Most of the lines I've heard outta Creed (Trailers only) have a TON of comic book nostalgia to them.

"Do you even know how to kill me?"

"Who do you think you are???"

"Why do you care?"

"This is what we do!"

"How else am I supposed to get your attention?"

"We can't just let you walk away."

I totally admit that I've never followed Wolverine or X-Men comics and am not a fan. But if what you're saying is true then I guess the character wasn't all that good to begin with. All IMO of course, but those lines suck doney balls. Really, really bad.

I've finally seen it and I've got to agree with those who said meh. The movie is very very bad and even saying that is giving it alot of praise. :csad:

I just watched Wolverine vs. Hulk. This 37 minute cartoon more successfully captured Wolverine then the entirety of X-Men Origins. It had a longer Alkali Lake scene too. It even had the same basic plot of Weapon-X creating the most powerful weapon.
Agreed. Also, they nailed Deadpool.

^I read that and I thought you meant they nailed deadpool in the movie, didn't see that you meant the Hulk Vs one. :funny:

:funny:

The plot was horrible. It has nothing to do with the film being completed.

edit: If it makes you feel any better, I'm still gonna go watch it on May 1st.

edit#2: Wait a minute! You're telling me to stop watching leaks and bootlegs, when you clearly voted the movie a 10? That basically means you watched it online. What a hypocrite. :lmao:

I haven't seen the movie and neither have you.

The REAL movie comes out in 3 weeks.

^Dude its the same thing its not like if its a fake or fanmade.

Speed Racer?!? :hehe:

Na man, when it's on the big screen with all that surround sound it immerses you and it makes it more trippy :D

^Dude its the same thing its not like if its a fake or fanmade.

It is not the same thing and it looks fake/fanmade because it is a workprint.

Its a low quality, unfinished, incomplete and unscored presentation of something that will be ten times more compelling when seen in finished form on May 1st.

People around here don't seem to know the meaning of "raw material" because they speak of it as if it deserves FINAL judgment in this state.

*I'm also tired of hearing all this "The story sucks" nonsense because I really don't see how anybody can take this workprint seriously with such poor effects/sound. I watched 5 minutes and turned it off - realizing this was NO correct way to watch a movie.

I'm not just holding out of respect for the people behind the film, I'm holding out because I've been waiting 3 years to see a Wolverine movie and I sure as HELL am not going to see it in crappy quality and with borrowed scores.

*Keep watching leaks and keep ruining good films that you may have enjoyed had you seen them PROPERLY.

^ Just wondering...You might have already explained it and I'm not here as often as before but how could you rate it a 10 if you haven't even seen it yet?

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. :whatever: You talk as if FOX hasn't earned its reputation in the fanboy community.

It's not the "cool thing" to do here; it's the normal thing to do. Why? Because the studio has supplied an overabundance of ammunition to such "haters." The point is, a lot of people now are bitter about the way this studio develops superhero films, and since FOX seems to not learn from its past mistakes it's all the more frustrating for these fans.

Exacly. I hate Fox because they've ruined my favorite series' forever. They make crap movies, and just dont give a rats ass about quailty...ONLY money. Other studios care about both.

Comparing the 20th Century Fox of the mid/late 1970's to the one that stands today lead by Tom Rothman is an insult to the suits of '77 who knew how to balance their need to make money while not flushing out films that are obviously made with the intention to profit off the franchise name alone without putting the effort to produce a quality film.

Fox of '77 is not the same Fox of '09. I feel bad for the company itself but not for the management that is ruining a once respected studio. Making it seem that most of the "Fox hate" is purely a bandwagon effect is being ignorant to the decline in film quality over at Fox, which has not only been noticed by fans but by many within the industry as well.

Totally agreed with all of you. I love how some people make out that we have no reason to be bitter against Fox, when that very same company that they are defending are churning out constant **** and expecting people just to accept and pay for them.

Its actually the people who are defending them that I feel most sorry for, as it is them that Fox are ****ing over the most with their output of mediocre at best movies. People arent hating on Fox for no reason. There is a reason people dont hate on EVERY other movie studio, its because they give a **** about their movies quality and artistic integrety and dont just flush out a quick turd to make money.

Spite.

You act like adding a new score and finished effects will change the entire plot of the Movie. That's the main part people have a problem with. You don't see anyone complaining because they use the Transformers score or they can see the greenscreen.

Tell me about it... I can't believe how many people around here don't realize that the work print we saw is the result of months of editing together scenes from dozens of reels of film, and it wouldn't have gotten that way unless it was at least a very close representation of what the director and Fox wanted...

That's what you meant, right? :P

Sucks for you.

Fox handled my favorite series rather brilliantly, and also put out another one of my nerd fav's in the Star Wars flicks.

Just watched this, and the best part was the unfinished CGI. Sure the film isn't finished, but the damage is done to the plot and characters. If that extra 14 minutes in the final cut doesn't have Ryan Reynolds in a red mask and costume then count me out on May 1st.

people will complain no matter what Ace, its all they know how to do and FOX bashing is [unfortunately] deemed a cool thing to do around here :whatever:
Go to joblo. Go to 4chan. Go anywhere. People bash there Fox as much as we do. It's not because it's "cool" to do, it's because more and more people are finally realizing how this hack studio handles their films. Especially their genre films.

Film directors like Alex Proyas and Stephen Norrington bash Fox, but they don't post here. Do they do it too just because they want to be "cool"?!

You are being ignorant, or either you have very low standars in movies if you enjoy stuff like Elektra and Hitman.

I am what you call a normal person that has what some refer to as common sense.

To bash a movie studio for personal reasons is just absurd. Unless you worked with them (Proyas) and they hurt you in some kind of financial way (Norrington), its absurd.

EnDz0n3! My name is EnDz0n3! :hehe:

But seriously though I'm still wondering how anyone could "Rate the leaked Film" when they say they haven't seen it. Atleast (most of?) the ppl that rated it a "meh" have actually seen the product that they are indifferent to.

Let's not resort to personal attacks on each other just because we disagree.

All I've seen until so far is complaining. Let's just face it; The X-movies are not canon. The Wolverine movie will not be canon. Jeez... get over it! Enjoy the movie!!

The Nolan Batman movies arent cannon, Watchmen, X1, X2, Spiderman 1 and 2 and Iron Man arent all canon, yet these are all widely praised becauser they mix some faithfulness with quality movie making.

You don't have to be canon to have a good movie, but it becomes a problem when it has neither, like Wolverine.
