I personally didn't like it and I got the feeling a lot of the people where I was at didn't either

Probably because they just got a big gut punch 10 minutes prior and still processing it. Most people will have no idea what the pager was for.

They could have made it more clear WHO exactly that was meant for and WHY it was so important. I know who it is because I read the comics, but I had to explain it to my cousin and her family (we see these movies together, but none of them read the comics) because they didn't get it.

I got it and still felt "meh" about it.

It was nice to see Fury and Hill again so that gives it some points

Underwhelming.....

The ending of the movie was so shocking....... so we needed a post credit scene to be really uplifting. It was really ..... "meh"

Also it does raise a lot of questions that I hope that the next two films adequately explain.

Itbwould have been incredibly impactful had their been no after the credits scene. People would have screamed.

It was a great lead-in to the film it hinted at. People are going to (by design) be confused, hopefully seek out answers, and look forward to finding out more a couple movies from now. Which is basically how the post credit scenes have more or less always operated.

Loved the epic disaster-film feel, but I felt bad for my bud I went to see it with. He loved IW, but really needed to pee by the end of IW. I told him to hold it because there was supposed to be an incredible post-credits scene. And it ended up just being marketing for a new character he knows nothing about. Kind of lame, Marvel.

Was not a big fan of the after credit scene. For once I could have done without one.

I loved it.

Like what, the [BLACKOUT]surviving heroes[/BLACKOUT] eating shawarma while discussing what to do next? :hehe: The movie ends [BLACKOUT]with half the universe dead[/BLACKOUT], an uplifting scene would have completely destroyed the mood, in my opinion.

It’s meant as a tease not a full scene. Considering her movie isn’t even out yet why would they explain who it’s meant for?

What would have been hilarious is if the scene ended with [BLACKOUT]Captain Marvel getting Fury's message....and then she slowly starts to fade away too.[/BLACKOUT] :o

Cos...this type of ending will affect the boxoffice legs of this movie.

That's a fair point, but it's not the job of the post-credits stinger to make people less disappointed with how the movie ends.

We have yet to see. It's an ending that gets people talking so if anything, people will want to see for themselves. I think there was enough cool and exciting set pieces in the 2 hours prior that will be worth repeat viewing.

Liked it a lot.

Well just from my experience, it didn't really work because no one that I saw the movie with or talked to later was particular intrigued my that.

It was a "ah ok whatever" type of response.

A "tease" still has to have enough to make people interested.

Carol would have to be Binary in order to defeat Thanos no?

Liked it, but like 90 percent of our theater went "What?!" :funny:

I rate it a 4. Not mind blowing, but very cool tease. Then again after what we just saw in the movie maybe i was just too traumatized and in shock to handle anything too mind blowing, so i'm good with it :woot:

Depends on how powerful her baseline is in the MCU. They've been hinted that she'll be incredibly strong as it is.

If going by well written comics she stands no chance regardless but who knows maybe movie Carol will have Goku power levels

no different than the IM2 scene with Thor's Hammer - if you don't know who it belongs to you are just confused - much like this - or many of their other post credit scenes.

Of course its marketing for an upcoming character/movie - that's what they have ALL been about...

I think back to the first time Nick Fury showed up after the credits. Granted less people stuck around back then, but those who did and weren’t comic book fans, do you think they knew what it was about? Do you think everyone knew who the purple guy was at the end of the first Avengers?

People want a full scene spelling out everything after the credits, and that’s never been done.
