The original was a tv series starring Bill Cosby and Robert Culp. They were American agents who travelled the world fighting cold war adversaries. It was apparently a highly rated series by those who remember it.

I Spy the movie was re-make of that series.

Some movies you know will be crap, I knew this after seeing the trailer for I Spy. I love my Famke but not enought to stay watching that.

Former Dark Angel Jessica Alba, recently seen in the films Sin City and Fantastic Four, has been cast in the titular role in the upcoming TV-to-movie conversion I Dream of Jeannie. The actress beat out several other "It girl" actresses, including Kate Hudson, Alicia Silverstone, and Lindsay Lohan. The original role was played by Barbara Eden.

Former Saturday Night Live comedian Jimmy Fallon stars as Major Nelson. The film will be directed by Gurinder Chadha, who directed the international hit Bend It Like Beckham. Jeannie is set for a 2006 release and is another in a continuous stream of movies based on television shows.


it's about a year old though. thats the newest thing i've heard of.

it's listed as "stuffed back in the bottle" production wise. i'm guess its gonna come out 2008 or so from what i'm guessing. either that or therre waiting until they can get the person they want and there schedule clears up more. .
