Re-creating Captain Marvel?

Too bad Marvel Comics, didn't purchase the rights to the Original Captain Marvel. DC only brought the rights to prevent Captain Marvel from out selling Superman.
which in itself is kind of ironic, seeing as how they wished all their titles sold like a supes or a bats title...

Haha my uncle made some ropa veija at the last family bbq.

Haha didnt last very long. It was hot as hell out that day and everyone was hungry.

I'm only curious to what will happen if DC decides to make a Shazam movie, and Marvel decides to make a Captain Marvel movie.

Oh the confusion that will ensue.

if warner/DC was smart they would make the movie... and call it power of shazam...

Ropa vieja's not Mexican. It's a shredded beef dish. I think I've had it once or twice, but I don't remember if I liked it.

Also, Black Adam's already African. He's from a region near ancient Egypt. Egypt was (and still is) in Africa. Hence, Black Adam is African.

Is there any information on Shazam himself? The Wizard I mean.

It also kicks ass if made right... like with the wisdom of solomon.

Well, since the way his story has been told has changed over the years... I might change some stuff. Tiz only fair. :P

Superman and Captain marvel are similar in the fundamental powers only.

id so throw a rock at your napsack carrying ass for reminding me of the putrid stupidity that is SM 1-3 and SMR

At least I didnt decide to let Richard Pryor create Brainiac!!!

May i take this opportunity to suggest you read some Captain Marvel. First Thunder is a good read, the JSA arc Savage Times also has a lot of Marvel.

There is an oversized Alex Ross book on Marvel which is so, so but Kingdom Come features him greatly.

You'll be able to find Captain Marvel issues in any good backissue section of comicbook shops or on ebay.

Also pick up Brave New World and read the new Captain Marvel limited series which will be out this month.

I definitely agree that Judd Winnick is destroying Captain Marvel. I'm sooo disappointed in the news that Freddy's going to be the new CM. It really sucks, as Captain Marvel has been my favorite superhero since childhood, and this 'The Real World' castmate has been given free reign over one of the most enduring and iconic heroes of all time. And, from what I can tell, it's not for the better.
Now I know what Flash fans feel like.

I'm guessing Freddy's promotion has at least some small part to do with the fact that he's handicapped, given the new diversification bent DC seems to be pushing. Here's my question, though: Billy was cool because he precocious and he had that whole boy reporter thing going for him. Even though he was a kid, you could believe that he was capable of getting the job done. Does Freddy have anything cool or interesting going for him?
