Recast Animated Movies in Live Action

In the 90s, Disney gave us the live action 101 Dalmatians and more recently we're going to be getting Maleficent and Cinderella films that likely both take many cues from the animated films to come before them. That gave me the idea for this thread. If these animated films were going to be made exactly as they were, except in live action, who would you cast?

Edna Mode - Linda Hunt (there's no way they didn't base the character design on Hunt. NO. WAY.)

Violet Parr - Dakota Fanning

Dash Parr - Nathan Gamble

I might have to trade Nathan Gamble for that kid in the role of Dash. I rush casted the Parr kids just so I could get the thread started. Simpkins is probably closer in age to what Dash should be.

I could take or leave Fanning...

Ok, now I'm dying to see this actually happen, lol. I love the rest of your cast too (minus Franco), but this is just meant to be.

Also, I'm not sure about the rest of The Little Mermaid, but I think Henry Cavill was born to be Prince Eric. I would accept Matt Bomer as a substitute, though.


Actually, now that I think about it, a MoS reunion of Cavill and Adams would make for a great Eric/Ariel pair.

This cast is fan-freakin-tasting. As much as I like Marsden, and would be fine with him in the role, for years I have been saying The Rock would be a great Gaston. He's massive like Gaston, and I think he could easily play both an evil "heel" character and a clueless goofball.
