I finally purchased XBL Gold, given that they had a deal too good to pass up, and I wanted to experiment with this game's multiplayer.

I'm pretty sure that the stranger during the I Know You missions is God. Throughout the story he knows who you are, disappears into thin air, on the last mission with him he walks to you your grave and says this looks like a good spot which I thought was really cool and then at the very end when John is peeking through the barn doors you catch a quick glimpse of the man. My friend says that he is the devil but c'mon this is a story about John looking for redemption, if he's the devil than that's just a downer.

Regarding the stranger in I Know You,

I don't know about God, I thought he was Death. Death or the Devil would be alot more of a Western thing. God is way too a positive force to fit a western tone. Also, in the last part of that strangers mission, the spot he's talking about as a beautiful spot is Beechers Ranch, which is obviously where John's story ends..... you know. I reckon he's death.EDIT: On retrospect, the tasks he sets John seem very much like tests of judgement, so you may be right. He's definitely a spiritual entity

And Poeman, I hope RDR inspires people to make some more Western films, but i'd hate an actual RDR film... Some games just wouldn't work as adaptations because the characters and story are already perfect in their game form. I don't want to see someone cast as John Marston, because as far as i'm concerned, there already is a John Marston. It's the same with the Uncharted movie... Those games are already perfect, and theres no actor that could be better than the original Nathan Drake.

I think game adaptations only work when its a broad, or larger franchise, like say Halo or Gears, or Assassins Creed. Any game where there is a broader world, or concepts that can be used to make a story unique to the film.

He's either God or the devil depending on how you want to look at it, the devil makes more sense it's just a downer of an ending for John since he goes through this whole process of redemption for all his evil ways. I think that his whole storyline with the grave and the quick glimpse is just absolutely fantastic that Rockstar did something like that in the game. Just another reason why its one of the best games ever.

Just got the "Bucking Awesome" achievement. You have to break a Kentucky Saddler, Hungarian Halfbred and an American Standardbred.

So as everyone has been saying: THIS GAME IS AWESOME! Ever since last Tuesday it's dominated my free time. And I've often extended my free time to 2AM. I'm pretty close to the end I think. But I want to complete as many journal challenges and stranger missions as I can.

Anyone got any advice on where to find beavers? Journal says they're by rivers up north but I haven't had much luck. Will bait work? I usually only get wolves with bait.

And boy do I hate five finger fillet. I won't be winning that game anytime soon. I'll stick to poker and liar's dice.

And my 360 gamer tag is SpideyForPrez, if anyone wants to add me and start up a posse sometime.

Check around the riverbed near Great Plains. Thats where i found some. Just be on the lookout when you are near Tall Trees and Great Plains, you'll come across them.

This is what I did.Got it on the first try.I thought you had to disarm 6 at once in dead eye.Not the solutionWatch the video and enjoy.

I am short one damn cougar for the master hunter.I find em rarely and when I do the bastard kills me.Doing Master Hunter,and trying to help out the plane guy before I beat the game.Have,I think,7 missions to go.
