So whats there to do once you complete 100%? I mean besides random encounters. Are there no more bounties at all? What about gang hideouts?

No, you can still do all that stuff, getting 100% just gives you the Redeemed achievement and unlocks the Bureau outfit. Bounties and whatnot still get posted, you can replay missions and hideouts for better scores, all that stuff remains.

I do have a few single player achievements still to go, and one of them is the one where you have to keep the same horse for 20 missions so yay replay!

Money isn't terribly hard to come by, just try to skin animals/loot bodies when you can. Bounty missions are good for quick injections of cash, especially if you can bring the guy in alive. I never had any money issues after I left McFarlanes.

I didn't loot bodies in the first shootout at a gang hideout for the first Armadillo mission after I discovered that you can take a rep loss for that, but maybe rep is overrated and money is more important, I dunno. Maybe I'll start looting from now on.

As for skinning animals, does that work for any animal that I killed in the wild? I may have to do that since I want to have alot of money before I start playing in the Poker games.

so a bit of weirdness in multiplayer...I joined a possee of about 5 guys, we hit some hideouts, everything is going nicely....one of the guys accidentally gets killed by another teammate...it happens...

so we finish that hideout and the guy that got accidentally greased stands there and starts shooting his horse, calls another horse, and shoots that one...keeps doing that for about 5 minutes...then tells us that he got killed and that "****ed his game up" so he's going to do the same to us

we all leave after another 3 minutes of his horse killing

You guys should've "accidentally" kill that guy again for his moronic behavior.

eh, I try to be civil in free roam...I don't shoot at anyone unless they shoot first

That's the first I've heard about a rep loss from looting bodies. I don't know, I always did it and ended up with max fame and honor anyway so I don't think it matters.

Yeah, any animal. You can get feathers from birds and from deer and larger creatures you'll get multiple items like meat/hide/antlers, all of which sell to stores for anywhere from $1 to $18, and maybe higher.

To be honest, even though I kept skinning out of habit I stopped selling stuff pretty early on because I didn't really need the money. It's not something you'll worry about for long, pretty soon you'll have more than you need.

I find that I must always have my weapon out just in case of an attack. The radar can be deceptive on the approximate distance of a possible attacker.

lol I joined a free roam match, and as I was checking what challenges I wanted to do some guy ran up to me and aimed his gun. I aimed my gun at him. I whistled for my horse, then never taking the gun off his head I slowly backwards to get on my horse and just as I'm about to hop on the guy wastes me. :woot:

Yeah, it took me 20 minutes but I ran his 3 man posse out of that room.

Is it just me or is anyone else having more fun with the side stuff than the actual story missions? I have 53% of the game complete, 1 day, 10 hours and 30 minutes put in with only 33 missions done. Im spending most of my time doing the strangers missions, the mini games, searching for the outfits, treasure hunting and the challenges. Ive barely even touched the multiplayer. I guess I should start doing the story missions again to advance the plot so I can get to the last area

BTW, I love Liars Dice. They should make that one of the multiplayer games. Ive gotten really good at it in the single player

at least play into Mexico...that way you have the whole map to **** around in

One time a guy followed me from the fort to the great planes just to kill me. Pissed me off.

when someone kills me in free roam multiplayer when i am not bothering them...I kill them everytime they respawn...That is their punishment.

Okay, that's good to know. I kind of want my guy to be the good guy in the game, so I was concerned about the rep. Good to know that it's not a big deal down the stretch.

Thanks for the info.

Oh Im already in Mexico

Ugh! John cant swim. I had thought Rockstar had ended this with the early GTA games. I was walking around Thieves Landing only to be greeted with the DEAD screen when I fell into soem water

I just got to Mexico not too long ago. This game is awesome. The one thing that is regrettable about the game is that they didn't get Sam Elliott to voice Ricketts.

Haha, yea i assumed Marston never learned how to swim being that he's been out west so long. That or all his gear sinks him.

The ending, really pissed me off. One of the few times I've become emotionally attached to game character. Needless to say, I went straight down to Mexico at blew multiple holes in that Federal agent.

It's a great ending and you really do feel the impact since you have become so attached to John

ya it's fantastically done,
but I want to go back to being him
, haha.

What's the secret to win in duels?

What's the secret to win in duels?

I just draw right away and shoot either their head or disarm arm. I haven't had any troubles this way.

Whenever I try to draw last, I end up getting killed. So draw first and select a vital area.

What's the secret to win in duels?

You'll notice after you draw that the aiming reticule cycles between red and white; try to time your RB/R1 presses when the reticule is white, this fills up the bar faster. Also aiming for vital spots like the head or their gun hand will fill it up much faster. It's possible to disarm (or maybe kill, tho I haven't pulled off a one-shot kill) someone with one shot if your timing is really spot on.

I normally wait until they've drawn before I do, if you time it well you'll still shoot first. I think I read that drawing after your opponent makes you more accurate but I can't find the article now. If you're having trouble with someone (Cornelius Wolfe killed me several times before I got the hang of it) try shooting their gun or their hat instead.
