And with that, Batman steal's Thor's thunder.

A pretty good day in Nerd World. Can't wait for the trickle of Bat-news to continue.

I assume they're going to start shooting now since Bale is still looking early 30s.

Nahh. I think they'll wait until fall/winter.

What with Bale just coming off his boxing movie and Nolan coming off directing Inception, they'll want a short amount of time to bulk him up and for Nolan to finish Inception press.

Fall/winter is looking like the perfect time to start shooting this movie.

I'd be surprised if Spider-Man doesn't eventually move to May 2013.

Marvel has invested too much on The Avengers to do something like that. Besides, Batman and Spider-Man is the best thing that has happened to July since 1998.

EDIT:

I just realized you wrote 2013. And, no, that won't happen either since Sony could lose the rights if they waited too long.

so here in now lies the problem for Marvel.

Avengers comes out in May. To bump Spidey there is to cannibalize their own business.

To keep it where it is, sandwhiched between Star Trek 2 and Batman 3 is suicide. They really have no choice but to put it in early June or mid/late August.

wow. The power of the Bat baby.

not a chance.

Trek is coming off of soaringly high buzz.

Spider-man is gonna pull Begins numbers. Like a 50mil opening weekend. It has a B&R negativity in people's minds right now. That's not to say it can't be good, but opening numbers won't be that high. Spidey will move - most likely to August.

Sat Trek 2, Batman 3, and The Avengers are the heavy hitters of 2012 no way they'll budge even a bit, all three are pretty much guaranteed hits. If anything movies it'll be Spidey.

If Superman comes that year it probably wont be summer, a Christmas release is probably more likely unless they push it too 2013.

Bale is filming a movie with Terrence Malick this fall. I would assume Batman 3 will follow the basic pattern of TDK filming wise.

Also-Bale completed filming The Fighter over 8 months ago. I'm sure he is back to his usual weight by now.

I just hope they've fully fleshed out the script, the main complaint I've heard of Iron Man 2 - though I haven't personally seen the film - is that it feels like a first draft. That movie was somewhat rushed and I just hope this film isn't being, I'd like at least one perfect superhero trilogy.

I say Star Trek 2 hampers the Spidey Reboot more than TDK2. Its not like WB stuck it on July 3. The Reboot has a potential $100 million three day opening but they may be better off in mid June before Star Trek opens.

There is no other film that holds my anticipation right now.

I don't care when it comes out, I don't care if its a commercial success, I just want it to be good.

Please please o please let it finish awesome

Work hard Nolan. we appreciate it.

All I have to say is, that possibly ****** Spider-Man reboot better make as much as it can that first weekend or two because after that i'm willing to bet it's done for.

There is a four year gap. Anything but rushed.

Batman vs Spider-Man. Oh dear. These boards are going to get messy.

Spidey and Trek will eat each other up like two coral reefs spewing digestive enzymes at each other. Mid July is the right time for BB3. It will get tons of exposure by then with all the CB movies and hype. I wish it would go to the Holiday season to free things up, but WB needs that summer movie.
I know you tried to be cool, but this statement doesn't even make sense from a scientist's perspective. :lmao:

Two Komodo dragons poisoning each other is more like it. :hehe:

He is. I saw a few paparazzi pics of him recently and he's perfectly back to normal.

Actually, didn't they say that IM1 was a lot of improvisation? Maybe they tried the same with IM2 and since there were more characters it didn't work out so well...

looking at the Summer slate, I can't see Madagascar 3 being that big of a hit, nor Battleship.
