News has become VERY slow since the virals calmed down and we're hanging about waiting and waiting and waiting for a trailer so i thought I'd post an article from Latino Review saying they know when the release date is. It looks like TDK is going to be this christmas' big seller!
Start making out your christmas lists and be nice for Santa won't ya!

What kinda features would you like to have on the DVD? How many on this board will be buying the Blu-ray version of the DVD or just the normal one?

Wow.... that was early.

I will definitely be buying this.

As for features, I would love to get commentary and deleted scenes but I know that is not going to happen. Nolan doesn't believe in putting deleted scenes on his DVD releases and isn't a huge fan of commenatries (he hasn't done since Insomnia). Hopefully we'll get a lot of great featurettes, maybe one solely on Ledger's process for the Joker (whishful thinking maybe). I just hope the features are a little more meaty than on the Begins DVD (but again, Nolan doesn't like to go into the process too much so we may be out of luck)...

I'd like to see a good documentary about Batman Vs. Joker and the history of their bizarre relationship.

I wanna see a featurette like on BB where they talk about the comics they were inspired from and show different artwork and pages from them.

Can't wait! I hope they are able to match the quality and the quantity of the Batman Begins DVD special features. I've watched those featurettes so many times and they never get old! It would be beyond awesome if they'd be able to raise the bar this time around. I want at least few hours of extras!

And obviously a commentary by Nolan and Bale would be a dream come true.

I'll be picking up the Blu-Ray version, or both depending on if there are unique extras to both. hope it's out for christmas everywhere :)

i'd love to see a more fleshed out documentary on shooting the IMAX scenes, and maybe a digital copy on disk. I believe WB did it for the IaL DVD

Blu-ray definitely. And I agree with Keymaker about a documentary on the relationship between Batman and Joker.

guess i gotta get another blu ray player.....sigh. why cant they put it on hd via import....WHYYYYYY!

I'd like a to see a featurette on the viral marketing campaign for the movie.

Blu Ray. Once you go 1080p on a 50 in plasma there's no going back

I would like a documentary to the quality of the one with Star Wars Episode 1, there was an incredibly concise history of the film.

I was let down by the BB extras.

Obviously they will be focusing on the passing of Heath, and it would be nice to get some insight into his character process but I would not want them just to focus on this only.

Nolans commentaries have all been really interesting so that would be a bonus for me.

Also a documentary from the people who ran the Viral advertising.

when did batman begins come on dvd after the theater release?

I wonder if they'll release a blu-ray boxed set that has BB,GK, and TDK. That would be cool.

As should we all!!!.... And I hope a limited edition will be released, so it'll go nice in hand with the limited editon of Begins coming to Bluray July 8'th, which I'm destined to pick up as well!:woot::cwink:

Just because they have more space doesn't mean they'll fill it with good stuff :)

Let's just hope that Nolan is ambitious about filling up discs with extras like Bay now that he has the space.

I can't wait for the Transformers Blu-Ray. Should have a TON of extra crap in it.

speaking of good Blu-Rays, get Black Hawk Down. I also hear that Heroes Season 1/2 will be one of Universal's first BD releases
