Am I one here who would actually be really interested in a Wizard of Oz remake?

Don't get me wrong, I love the original film however its different from the book and it would be really cool to see where they'd go with it. Of course I'd want an AMAZING director attatched though because it is a beloved film.
Secondly, WeaponXProject, I HIGHLY doubt they'll be remaking King Kong anytime soon. King Kong 2005 (which I actually approved of and think its a great film) was somewhat of a dissappointment, I remember studios were predicting Titanic sized numbers. Although it did good worldwide, 500+ million I beleive, it didn't do as good domestically...it hardly touched the 200 million mark
However Jurassic Park remake is inevitable unfortunately.
My list (I'm only listing films that I think have a HIGH possibility of being remade in the future):
- Psycho (They'll do another one.)
- 2001: A space Odessey
- Sunset Blvd
- Alien
- The Silence of the Lambs (I have a feeling deep down this will get a remake in a few years.ugh)
- Terminator (honestly wouldn't care if it were being remade had T2 not existed)
- Jaws
- Star Wars the original trilogy (This will happen in my lifetime too...mark.my.words)
- Jurassic Park
- The Lord of the Rings trilogy (same as star wars. Its just too popular and successful...greedy studios will try to strike gold twice.)
- The Matrix
By the way, they REALLY are doing a remake to Rosemary's Baby, huh?...wow, I can't say I'm freaking out because I just thought the film was okay (not as good as everyone says) but really unnecessary remake...because when I was watching it I was thinking 'this filmmaker was ahead of his time because the film holds up REALLY good for a 60's film)
Also they have a The day the Earth stood still remake. Now I WAS open to this remake (and TDTESS is one of my FAVORITE films of all time) however they have really screwed up their opprotunity to make something amazing, the film looks bad.
