RESPECT the CYCLOPS Thread!

im checking messiah complex only. before that i never liked the regular xbooks. astonshing is the only X-book i can read without asking myself why the **** does nightcrawler have a daughter, when did that happen? or how come ice-man still acts like he's 12,why hasn't he grown?

See, you'd have to read Exiles to understand why Nightcrawler has a daughter.

I didn't though (despite hearing good things about it). Thank god for Wikipedia. Also hear X-Factor's good so I may give that one a try.

X-Factor is amazing. I'm really surprised more people aren't liking it.

i stay away form anything that claremont touches, the guy is a one trick pony.

I've heard good things about X-factor too, but it doesn't seem like my kind of book.

Nightcrawler has a daughter from an alternate timeline. And Iceman doesn't act like he's 12. Read Carey's X-Men for a badass Iceman.

I started to think that, since Cyclops isn't so a much a vigilante as a member of a special force team, he's definitely be able to carry things on him that any normal person would carry -phone, photo ID, water, car keys, cellphone, money, etc.

So maybe that explains the pouches.

Man, after reading Astonishing I'm just feeling the Cyclops love again. :woot:
He's always been one of my top 3 favs (Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Cyclop)
Anyways, I always thought the 90's costume pouches were for, extra glasses/visors, communicators, schematic guides or any tech thing for directions, gizmos from Beast, and minor medical supples.

I heard that some think he has lost his touch, but Cyclops was at his absolute best when written by Claremont in the 1980's.The leader, often struggling with his decisions and always doing the impossible.

Agreed

People are holding on to his former glory, he's out of ideas. Why can't Claremont move on to other characters maybe if he stopped leaning on his X-Men cred he'd get better ideas.

Cyclops was definitely my favorite x-men growing up. He was also my favorite character to play as in the X-men arcade game!

One of the best arcade games of all time...lost so much money on that one.

I'm sorry...I assumed a thread based around people who know about Cyclops would be able to assist with a issue question regarding him...

Madrox is still a mutant. He was reffering to a comment by one idiot who claimed that Madrox isnt but there's been no real evidence supporting that yet.

One remark by one highly manipulative villain is not a solid fact.

Nice assumption. I used google FIRStand was unable to find it...I didnt know what run it was in so its quite tough searching google in regards to "cyclops kills apocolypse" and so forth. It appeared that 95% of the pages were in regards to AoA.
