There are plenty of non-Christian historical sources documenting the existence of Jesus. Any self-respecting historian (even if they are not a Christian) would not deny the existence of Jesus. That would just be a complete academic faux pas and would get them laughed out of their university/ professorship. There is more historical evidence for Jesus than for Julius Caesar. And anyone who were to dismiss Julius Caesar as just a play by Shakespeare and not a historical figure would look utterly ridiculous.
