^The character has pleny of more potential hat can be fulfilled, especially now he is the leader of an all conquering and seeminlgy unstoppable army. Things could get pretty damn interesting, which is why I hope the sequels are made.

Riddick could be a kind of Space Conan

Riddick is space Conan. It's just a shame that Diesel never found his Terminator.

She died?

The plot of the 2nd movie does involve Riddick going into the underverse to look for Jack/Kyra, as she become a necromonger, she didnt die, she went into the underverse.

Yeah, he pretty much is space Conan, and there are a lot of ways they could take many of the characters, especially Riddick.

Thought you meant the one with the mercs that captured him.

^Oh no, she was left on Crematoria, dont what happened/will happen to her, I'll bet its not good though.

Im on the fence with another Riddick sequel. Pitch Black was great and while i liked Chronicles it definitely left something to be desired. The character does have potential and Id like to see it met.

How about another Peter Chung animated short? Dark Fury was good and so was Butcher Bay (although it was a video game).

After Babylon AD's bomb, I think Diesel is going to have a very difficult time getting any sci-fi movie he headlines greenlit.

Not if it's a third of Babylon AD's budget and the director doesn't disown it publicly.

The Riddicles of Chronic was great on paper, dull-as-ditchwater in exectuion.

I'm a fan of the first 2 films, and the animated tie-in. I was disapointed that the next-gen "Butcher Bay" remake game was cancelled, but I'm jazzed to hear it is still coming out next spring.

He would if it weren't for Fast and too much and too many Furiouses 4.

Butcher Bay was one of the best games that year. Loved it.

I do hope it gets made, that ending was just TOO enticing.

Yeah some of Chronicles is slow and boring and Riddick wasn't really Riddick but the end made you want more. I wanna see what he'll do with his own army. Will he lead them to a war against the underverse or leave them in command of someone else.

I wish they would make a R rated film of him escaping from another prison like the game.

^That was the main problem of COR, he wasnt Riddick enough for me, he needed to murder a few more people just to be him, he should have murdered that merc that he left alive in the DC.

Yeap, that was one of the first movies that got PG-13ed. Just like AVP:1 although AVP was terrible anyway.

I know even Vin wanted the character to be brutal and primarily care for only himself.

He did more so in the DC, he onyl showed care for Jack/Kyra and Immam because they had been through a lot together.

Anyway, I watched the DC again tonight and it really is a terribly under-rated sci-fi film, why they didnt just release this version in cinema's is beyond me, as its so much better as a film and an experience. Here's to hoping Fast & Furious is a success and Vin can get Riddick on the run again.

Yeah, they will never do another Riddick movie unless it's like some shoestring DTV thing.

Chronicles bombed, people need to stop forgetting.

They keep making Fast and Furious because they are profitable.

When they showed the Babylon AD trailer in the theater I remember some people in the crowd thought it was a Riddick sequel.....lol....serious

I can see Diesal being able to raise a similar budget to Serenity or Pitch Black, they could make the movie then, it would be seriously down budget from the last movie, but it could be done, no problem.
