Nearly. I think some things work a little better for the Xbox, like the walk/run/crouch kinda thing, because it becomes buttons on the PC, and the fist fighting is MUCH more natural on the Xbox, but overall, yeah. Pretty much the same.

IT WAS ACTUALLY A BIT OF AN UPGRADE OVER THE XBOX VERSION, IN CONTENT AND IN GRAPHICS.

It's a sad day when a game with vin disel (or any project with him for that matter) gets more interest than the new alone in the dark, which looks at least as good as gears of war.

considering riddick's one of the best xbox titles there is, one of the most innovative and immersive fps' out there for last gen systems, and easily the best looking game of last gen, and consdering an alone in the dark game hasn't been good or mattered for 10 years...

I like Diesels movie's, they are entertaining. XXX, good. A Man Apart, good. Pitch Black, good. Chronicles of Riddick, good. Im more of an action junkie over anything else really. I watch a movie to be entertained not to critique someones performance. Even if you cant stand Diesel, this game is still worth a shot.

The big things I see with this are:

1. The game is published by Midway: Midway is a third party publisher, and it will put it's games on as many consoles as possible because they like money and like staying in business.
2. The game is being built as a PC game: With such similar architecture, it's painfully obvious how much easier (and less expensive, point 1. above) a port to the 360 would be.
3. The Xbox360 market: Is mainly shooter junkies wanting another Halo experience. The PS3 market is mainly two different types of people: the ones who play Madden, and the ones who play Final Fantasy. There aren't many successful PS2 shooters.

It's an Assassin's Creed situation. Sony's paying the publishers and developers to stay quiet about the other versions so they have something to have people's interest. It'll fall down before long.

I cared about dead rising before practically everyone else, but my thread sunk. then it started getting hype in mags and websites and everyone suddenly loved it. Hmm...

I've said it about Bioshock too. No one gave a crap about that when I was raving, but now its every other hot topic.

I also broke Assasin's Creed being announced to 360 days before others confirmed it, yet no one believed me.

I've also touted the merits of Crackdown, AID and Interstellar Marines which are probably going to become bandwagons soon.

It's just nice to be acknowledged sometimes. Of course most people wont acknowledge it, but I know so Im good.

I can also admit games I was a late comer too...I had no interest in mass effect at first, or gears of war. You cant be first to dance at every party after all.

If you don't understand the way mags work, I understand. I probably wouldnt had I not taken courses on various forms of media journalism. But because everyone on the net can get scoops easy nowadays, printed mags have to keep up. they do this much in the same way consoles stay ahead in competition; by securing exclusive rights to BIG stories that wont appear on the internet first. simple.
