Riddick sequels still coming?

So they're brushing over the Underverse to get to Furya?

That TV show though. That sounds like it could a whole lot of fun.

Last I heard they are still making Underverse as a movie, unless the plan has changed in the meantime. But I think that will be the next movie after Furia.

Could be, they set up by having Riddick go find Vaako in the Underverse, but leave a few plot threads for Riddick to have to return for part five.

Yeah they set that up with the DC, but at the end of TC he just talked about going home. So I think they will just follow that. Remember in the last movie Riddick ended up in that planet because he was trying to find Furia it was duped by the Necro's.

Yeah, but Vaako is still the one with the location of Furya and he's in the Underverse.

I sincerely hope Merc City stars Matt Nable, Kattee Sackhoff and Nick Chinlund.

I think the only thing really missing is a comic or book series. We've got games, movies, anime and we're getting a show.

Ah yes that's true, unless Vaako comes back from the Underverse and is like the Lord Marshall from the second movie. Will be interesting to see where they go with it.

And yes to Nable, Sackhoff and Chunland for Merc City.

Fast furious movies make so much money that Vin can make Riddick movies.i enjoy them.

and always nice to have R rated scifi movie.

Nobody beats a dead horse better than Vin. You have to admire his devotion to this though. It's kind of adorable.

This is one horse I don't mind getting beat from him bro. I do enjoy the Riddick movies.

xXx 3 I can do with out.

Totally agreed, looking forward to Riddick 4 much more than another xXx or F&F movie. At least Riddick offers something different to other movies.

It's true. But I still like the Riddick character and his fictional world! I actually enjoyed Chronicles of Riddick most of the lot. The very last moments to Riddick (2013) were so smug it was almost painful. He converts a lesbian? Really? But otherwise I still enjoyed the film overall. Pitch Black I probably enjoyed the least even though everyone says it's the best. (This is not to say that I didn't like Pitch Black, though.)

Vin has stated multiple times that Riddick is his favorite role to play. Heck he helped finance the third film with some of his own money. So clearly, he has a great passion for this character/world.

As for the Vaako thing, I kind of hope that they AREN'T out and out enemies. Not only because that's too similar to Riddick vs. The Lord Marshall for my tastes, but apparently Vaako was a man of his word. Plus it'd be really cliché. So I'm hoping for a more interesting dynamic, if they bring him back (more Karl Urban is always a good thing imo).

They have every reason to bring Vaako back and there is no reason for Urban to not want to. I think he will be coming back.

Karl Urban will be back. It's not as if he's in demand or busy these days.

I think Urban does an amazing job in channeling Deforest Kelly. I look forward to watching the barbs fly between him and Quinto's Spock in Beyond.

Am I the only one that likes Chronicles of Riddick best among the trilogy? Pitch Black is good but it feels a whole lot like Alien to me, i.e., sort of derivative of it, and Alien does it better. Chronicles of Riddick is the story in which we really get to see the world filled out with all of its lore, layers, and intrigue. And Riddick is very badass in it. I actually thought Riddick (2013) was okay (not terrible) except for the badly written ending. The final minutes were just stupid to me.

I somewhat agree about PB, its not as good as everyone makes out, Riddick makes the movie really. But it is still a better movie than CoR. The DC improves the 2nd movie a good bit but I think they went too ambitious with it in the end. I like all 3 personally, bur I consider CoR the worst of them.

I thought the last Riddick movie was rehashed garbage so I'm having a tough time being excited for a 4th one.

CoR has got its problems and shortcomings, granted, but I think it's the one film in which we get to know the world of Riddick--and it is a pretty fascinating one in which the director and writers 'show' rather than 'tell'. We're a fly on a wall in what appears to be a richly layered and tangled world (Necromongers, 'mercs', Furyans, Elementals) having to make sense of it and figure it out. All of it heavily stylized and very cool looking visually. (Crematoria was really nicely done, for example.) Anyway I thought it had some impressive worldbuilding going on. And I'm usually a sucker for that.
