I didn't really think about it at the time, but later I considered the fact that it was after that point. I didn't bat an eyelid at the time because I think I'd seen enough before that to guess he'd be a jerk.

Plus Mariko had said it was an arranged marriage and not one she really cared for herself (I think the latter was more implied though). Even if Noburo wasn't with any girls or wasn't corrupt, I wouldn't have thought it wrong or double standards for Wolverine since it's kinda still part of the Prince saving the Princess role he was playing out there.

I had no problem with it I mean the dude went after Jean and didn't give a s**t about Scott. Fits the established character. I just thought it was funny for him to say that to Noburo considering what he and Mariko just did.

Sure, I get what you're saying. I'm just saying it's excusable since in this case Mariko has told him that it's an arranged marriage she had no choice in. It's a bit different than Wolverine chasing after a woman in a consensual relationship to a good guy like the case was with Jean and Cyclops.

My point is it wouldn't matter if it was Wolverine or anyone else since just about any guy could do that and still come off as doing little wrong since it's not a consensual relationship Mariko is in.

Logan was also mentally and emotionally screwed up for most of this movie, so his actions make sense in that regard. Also, have you seen Mariko? Would you really pass up that opportunity if it presented itself.

Despite what we got with her vs. Shingen I would have liked to seen more of her with the sword. Does the truncated ninja fight involve her also fighting them cause that would be a missed opportunity.

I would love to see her back! Saw the movie twice already and she was definitely the highlight. Part of me was hoping she'd still be with Logan when Xavier/Magneto confronted him at the airport, and that she'd be in DoFP. Wouldn't at all mind the speculation about her being in X-Force, that'd be amazing.

Except the after credits scene says "2 years later", which means they can go back and have another Wolverine movie set after The Wolverine and before DoFP.

Both her and the actress who portrayed Mariko, this was their first major acting role. They were both just models before this.

She has hinted that she may be back for future films, so that's good. So both actresses had never had film roles before this, whoever cast these two deserves a big fat bonus because they are a genius.

Not only that, i preffer the movie version too. Her comic counterpart is kind of bland.Your average bad girl archetype. They had a chance to do something with the character when she became a mother to Logan's foster daughter, but they kinda forgot about them...which is a shame.
