Wolverine/Mariko had a chemistry I never felt he had with Jean or Silverfox in these films. She was easily his best romantic interest.
How was his relationship with Mariko not sweet? Silverfox had potential, and Lynn Collins gave a good performance, but her character was written terribly in the script.
ALL of the Japanese actors and actresses were really, really good.
Everytime I watch it I appreciate Sanada's performance more and more. He is so evil and twisted without it being over the top and pantomime like, like in the way he talks to Yukio and puts her down, subtle, especially when compared against Viper
And his fight is just BA all over![]()
Absolutely the whole Japanese cast is great. Sanada putting down "little Yukio" is indeed fun to watch. And he had a great moment in the extended version. Short but important, he means that much more as a character with the scene included.
I like the added scenes with Wolverine outside the love hotel in the extended cut. Mariko gets some more throwing knife action going on.
