God damn... One of the greats. Truly. Swamp Thing alone would warrant his notoriety but his art is a sight to see for quite a few characters and genres. He never did as much main stream iconic hero work as I would have liked but if you want to see him tackle the likes of Superman and the Justice League check out THE WEIRD from the 1980's. And as Sawyer pointed out his inserts into THE STAND compliment the prose of King to a T.

He is survived by his wife Liz, sons John and Jeffrey, stepson Thomas, and countless friends and fans. We will have a celebration of life for him later this year.
