I cannot tell you guys how influential Pee Wee Herman was when i was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s. I was obsessed with that show, and quoted it nonstop.

The guy is an absolute creative legend. Wow Rest in Peace.

Paul Ruebens and Rowan Atkinson will always be childhood icons to me. I know people love to make fun of them, but Pee-wee Herman and Mr. Bean meant so much to me as a kid.

Growing up in the 90's it was always Saturday morning cartoons, whatever was on PBS and Mr. Bean/Pee-wee Herman and its shame kids nowadays can't experience stuff like that again.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure will alway be one of my favorite movies.

Paul was a very unique talent. I wish I could've thanked him for one of the magical pillars of my childhood.

the phrase 'right in the childhood' gets used a lot but in this case this is a direct hit in the gut for me I loved this dude, I saw Big Adventure with my mom when I was ten, and I remember watching his Pee Wee Herman stage show on one of the cable movie channels back in the day. I know he is best known for Pee Wee but I loved him in Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Reubens was on an episode of Mork (Robin Williams) & Mindy as well. 1980s reruns might be the first time I saw him without realizing it at the time.

I won't post it here but his whole live 1981 Pee Wee Herman Show that was the HEAVY inspiration of Pee Wee's Playhouse is on youtube I plan on rewatching tonight when I get home first time I saw it since I was a 80s kid lol.
