Not a fan but that's much too young. :(

I was never big into wrestling but my brother and several friends were so I recognize Vader. It is sad to see another of the big 80's stars go but having learned of the strain and abuse they put on their bodies, I am no longer surprised anymore when one goes due to something like this.

As you may recall, Vader underwent open-heart surgery in March. Vader spoke in-depth with Bill Apter about the surgery before it happened and called himself a “walking time bomb” due to having ten clogged blood vessels.
Damn.

That's still young I think. I thought the great apes lived as long as humans. :(

Did some googling, when Columbus Zoo's Colo passed away Jan 2017 at the age of 60, their press release on it indicated "At 60 years of age she was the oldest gorilla on record and exceeded her normal life expectancy by more than two decades"

So 40 or so (probably upwards of 50 years and maybe a bit more for those in captivity?) seems to be the average life-span of gorillas.

Koko was a loving, affectionate and curious non-human person. May she rest in peace.

Apparently gorillas' average lifespan is 35-40 years, so Koko was right in the normal range.

Okay. :) Thanks.
