RIP Celebrity Thread - Part 4

I am confused and angered that a lot of the media really down plays his murder.

Of course, the cops downplaying any potential hate crime being involved may be a factor, because the media is unquestioning of cops.

I can't see how it isn't a hate crime. Other than the initial reports, which obviously pointed it out, I haven't been reading up on it. There is no doubt why he was murdered.

Right??? In any other state this would be a hate crime, but, you know, Texas.

Gay and Indigenous. He didn't stand a chance. Everyone knows in Texas it's only okay to be Indigenous so a white woman can claim to be on social media.

And another one, sadly.

Harris Yulin, Actor in ‘Scarface,’ ‘Training Day’ and ‘Ozark,’ Dies at 87

Harris Yulin, the ever-present Emmy-nominated actor who appeared in such films as Scarface, Clear and Present Danger and Training Day and on television in Frasier, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Ozark, has died. He was 87.

Yulin died Tuesday of cardiac arrest in New York City, his family and manager, Sue Leibman, announced.

Although he never found a starring role that made him a household name, Yulin was a familiar face who worked constantly during a career that spanned more than 50 years. “I’m not that high-profile,” he admitted in a 2010 interview with The Irish Times. “I just do the next thing that comes along.”

Dang. When I started to watch MTV religiously in the late 90s, she was one of the VJs on one of those shows that did a top 10 music videos. Not Total Request Live, it was something else that I can't remember the name of at the moment.

EDIT: Maybe it was TRL she was a VJ on. But there was another MTV show that also did a top 10 music video that aired in the late 90s.
