It's still surreal to me that he's passed. He would have loved the film!
Seems it was troubling to sign up.The coroner said he had a heart attack. He had no previous heart issues that we are aware of. He had been complaining to my grandpa of bad indigestion a couple days before and he just took tums and thought nothing else of it. It's still a shock for all of us that it even happened.. the thing that bothers us is my grandma had gone into the hospital for her heart that weekend.
He was worried because he thought she was going to have to get a stint put in, but the Dr found another way to remove a clot. He felt a little less worked up when he found that news out that Sunday. We are thinking he passed that night or that following Monday since he hadn't gone into work, didn't answer my grandpas phone calls or get online. My grandpa had gone to his apartment, knocked, didn't get a response so he got the apartment manager. She found him and called the coroner. We didn't do an autopsy but the coroner said that it looked to be a heart attack. It's been really tough on everyone, especially my grandparents who lived in the next town over.
I wanna say thank you to everyone at the hype for the flowers, the kind words, just keeping us all in your thoughts. I know a lot of you all are still hurting too. I just try to stay positive that he's catching up with my grandma (my mom's mom) & uncle(his best friend of over 20 years) in heaven or Valhalla. Thank you for giving us our space, we really appreciate it. I know it hasn't been easy for everyone who had to play the waiting game to find out what happened.
I'd like to think it was in his sleep so he didn't even notice.
I've been away from the forum for a long time, but seeing this news shocked me. Vartha was all around a great and very positive poster, one of my favorites. May he be welcome in the land of Valhalla.![]()
