Robert Pattinson IS The Batman

Not to be on the “against this casting” train, I’m on board with this 100%. But there are many saying that people are usually wrong about casting choices. That’s not always true. Nobody wanted Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor they were right. Everyone wanted Jared Leto as the Joker and they were wrong. Nobody can predict anything. All you can do is remain hopeful or skeptical. No more, no less. As long as you don’t do anything dumb, like do a petition.

In a different universe, I believe Leto would have made an excellent Joker. Something more in the vein of Grant Morrison. But man, Ayer's interpretation of the character effectively killed any interest I had in seeing Leto come back. I just want him to go away forever. It was THAT bad.

But that's fine, because now I can spam Caleb Landry-Jones' name until Reeves gives me what I want.

Batfleck fans need to get over the fact that Affleck isn't Batman anymore. and thankfully he isn't.

I think what's mainly important (in terms of training) is Pattinson learning a lot of new skills as a fighter, and the physique follows that. Obviously he won't be as skilled as trained professionals but as an actor learning and training a lot. That's a big part of Bruce Wayne's story and development as Batman.

These fans are in for a rude awakening when this movie comes out and there are zero connections to the DCEU and Affleck's Batman.

I never ever wanted Reeves Batman to connect to the dreadful DCEU version. One of the best things about Matt Reeves Batman film is that its gonna stand on its own

I am a huge batfleck fan and think he is the best batman on live screen. Keaton is second best. With that said, I think he was an amazing interpretation of the character who is broken and at the end of his journey that made him begin killing.

Even though I love batfleck and LOVE BvS. I hope this isnt connected to anything at all. I dont want this setup with any other dc character or movie. Let reeves make the movie he wants to make. I think reeves and pattinson can make the best batman that is the definitive comic book version of the character. I love reeves and his apes movies to death.

At first I was extremely displeased, i just think he doesn't have the look when I imagine Bruce Wayne, but after how poorly and awfully written Bruce was in BvS i just don't have the energy to care anymore. I'm getting older now and just want a good movie.

I personally don't like him that much as an actor... But I don't think he's a terrible choice. He definitely has to potential to be a great Bruce Wayne. I like how WB is taking a chance on him. Hope it pays off, they have my money already for the solo movie.

They got an actor that could and probably WOULD play the character for a long time. Affleck from DAY ONE was on borrowed time and although he committed to the role never had his heart fully in it. Affleck just wanted to do BvS, JL 1 and 2 and get out. Pattinson could be their Chris Evans, a young guy who’s in it for the long haul, Batman movies, Justice League movies, cameos etc.

Wow, for the first time, Millar wasn't talking out of his ass!

The more I think about this, the more excited I am. I'm loving it. Pattinson has that quality that I would look for when casting Batman. It reminds me of Keaton in some ways but this is a whole new thing.
