Robert Pattinson IS The Batman

Yeah i read the quote and it reads like a figurative conceptual idea. Imo. Its the idea of what goes on in batmans head a repeated sound getting louder and louder, the impulse and urge pushing him further and further into darkness. Conceptual representation literal. Imo.

In what way? It may honour the comics more than any other. Or do you mean a character study?

It's certainly fresh, and could prove very interesting. But at the same time I could see A LOT of fans taking issue with it.

Certainly would explain why Pattinson was drawn to the script.

On its surface I don't like it. The execution would have to be pulled off pretty masterfully for me to appreciate it. I don't want Batman to become Kevin from Split.

Basically, yeah. A deeper dive into the psychological of Bruce Wayne.
And if Bruce suffers from some sort of mental illness, the movie can shine a light on this and spark some conversations. Not unlike Joker

I know that movie wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it for the most part

I can't imagine wanting a Batman movie to be like "Joker". It would be such a joyless experience to watch.
It’s not what I’m personally after from Batman. It worked well for a Joker one-shot.

That account has me blocked, I wonder why :funny:
I haven't seen anyone mention lack of screentime.

What is also said is that the movie is his pass to play James Bond, Danny Boyle was right but they keep going with Craig who bores me to death

Glad to hear of Pattinson's raves. Him playing Bond would be great. Though I'd prefer an unknown actor, I'm not opposed to him playing two icons as long as he's right for it.

Not gonna happen with him playing Batman and wanting time to play other indie roles. But Nolan directing someone else as Bond is another story.

I'm sad he won't be in Hogg's The Souvenir 2. Glad he's working with Denis again though.

Great to see so much praise towards pattinson. He's a fantastic actor in every way and it's about time it's recognized.
