Robert Pattinson IS The Batman

I don't care about him driving the Batmobile or motorcycle but I think that doing the fight choreography as much as he can is a must because I think that's part of the performance. It's physical performance. I despise this notion of Batman only being portrayed by stunt people.
The Robert is training and Matt wanted to cast an actor who can do some of the fighting too. I hated the fact that Ben didn't do a damn thing!! I thought we was over lazy actors who needs a stunt double just to sit down on a chair!

Not sure how we made it this far without mentioning the GOAT, but Adam West said it right 30 years ago...

"...And I didn't need molded plastic to improve my physique. *taps chest* Pure. West."

:o

I was just watching this tonight! I love me so classic Simpsons!

Who cares if we get skinny batman in a baggy suit. The story of the movie will explain all of it and RP will compensate for it with his acting skills - chances are high we get an oscar worthy performance

I am pumped october 1th 2021 :hrt:

We all know you dislike the movie. What's the point of being obnoxiously sarcastic and mocking those of us that do like what we've seen so far or at least are interested and have trust on Reeves take? If you have something to add to the discussion, some point to make or argue do it but don't go around mocking people

How can i dislike a movie that isnt even made yet? All i did was expresse how pumped i am for the movie...like a bunch of other people. RP will be the bomb in this role  I have trust in Reeves take!

Who do you think you are, telling me i cant share my opinion?

Let's just leave it at cool it right now before it goes further. How about this: just ignore each other if you don't like what the other has to say? It'll save you some strain.

Just watching The Batman by watching Batman Begins (2005) and I have to say I sure as hell hope Pattinson's version of Batman is similar to Bale's portrayal but also have elements of every other Batman however putting his own unique spin on it. I didn't know I would be so enamored again by rewatching Nolanverse Batman but it is exactly why I fell in love with the character. Yeah sure I grew up on the Burton and Schumacher Batmans but the Nolanverse vibe I wonder if they go with that for Matt Reeves' Batman?

October 2021...the first of October...is perfect and just in time for Halloween...couldn't think of anything more poetic or more fitting

New better pictures to take a look at him, he looks fit and dare I say athletic. Does he look as muscular as my ideal Batman would look? No, but he looks great, definitely not "weak" or "like a whimp" like some posters were saying based on those pics of him going to get groceries.

All that matters is how he looks in the costume, and while I'm not a big fan of the costume itself, he does look like Batman, at least.

I’m fine with the way Big Bob looks

At the end of the day it comes down to the performance, there are always ways to make actors look big and imposing with movie magic. But you can’t fake your way to great performances.

and Rob Pats is one of the best in business.

Looks like they going with an adam west batman type of physique which fits with the rest of the design choices  i love the continuity from this production :)

He looks fit. Not huge, but I never expected Pattinson to be huge. I just don't think he's one of those people whose physique lends itself to getting super buff.

How he looks in a suit and the costume is what's most important.

I think pattinson looks fantastic. A lean Batman is nothing new, and has been seen multiple times in the comics. He's gonna be amazing.

Bale already proved how well a lean Batman can work too.

Robert looks pretty fit. I’m glad they didn’t go for a huge hulking Ben Affleck Batman. Cause we just had that and it was cool but wasn’t a mind blowingly enriching addition to the character to see on screen or anything. Also everytime I see this dude now I get the Michael Giacchino theme in the back of my head a little bit.

He is fit and slim which works. He is also a great actor which matters so much more. And that Ironist guy is an odd one huh lol

Exactly which is why Pattinson should have never have been cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman to begin with...Reeves should have casted someone more believable especially if you were gonna go with a younger Batman especially someone who is in peak physical condition
I'd prefer Tom Bateman, just based on age.

Tom Bateman was my pick when Reeves got hired on and we speculated that it would be a reboot. But I'm happy RP got the job. Especially over Hoult.

Seems like the leaker who said his hair was long on top and short on the sides and back is full of it. This looks like January cut just grown out a month during quarantine.

Rob’s current physique is very similar to Bale in TDK.

Actually, no it isn't. Bale was a good deal bigger in TDK. Just look up my half dozen posts with the production stills from the shirtless and boat scenes in TDK.

Pattinson looks even smaller here than Bale in TDKR. It's not my preferred choice, but given how many other things i love about how this movie is shaping up, I'm going to reserve judgment for the final film. They could pull off a real great take on a super lean, Bruce Lee-esque Bruce, or use camera trickery and other things to maximize Pattinson's size.

It'd be interesting to see Hoult's screen test. There must have been something special about what he brought to the role to be runner-up.
