Why do some of you still insist on calling this a reboot when the studio has said more than once that this is a direct sequel in line with the first three?!?

The producers have stated the opposite. That this movie is a reboot/reimagining and none of the previous films will be in continuity with this film.

I cant wait to see the redesigns of the costume, even just the art work is exciting for me

I think we will get a different suit but it will still be what we know as Robocop

And seeings as it is the future after Robocop has been long established i wonder if they will go with the "Robocop is a celebrity now" sort of thing

With out even realising the connection i asked my self "will this be The Wrestler meets Robocop" :P

He's okay but he shouldn't be in Robocop, well atleast as Robo.

Exactly. The first movie got it right. We didn't have an attachment to Murphy as a character in the beginning and he looked like a normal Joe.

Some stuff i found

I'd personally rather see that modeled after Robocop's villain in this movie. I think that it'd be cool to see "Old Robocop" vs. "New Robocop", after the person in the new Robocop suit gets brutally murdered, alike Murphy in the original 'Robocop'.

What I find interesting is that three of the main actors from the very first Robocop have been on 24. Paul McCrane and Peter Weller were on season five, Kurtwood Smith was recently killed off in an episode this season. Ray Wise is of course, the Devil on the show "Reaper." And it wasn't until the Academy Awards when I realized that the lead Sargent from the three movies had died.

I like the new design . it would be cool to see a faster more agile robocop but then it's less dramatic what has happened to this guy .

Does anyone think the presence of the IRON MAN franchise will hurt another ROBOCOP film? Or is that why the movie is being made?
