I must admit, Robocop 2 is one of the best comedies out there.:oldrazz:

true, this bit ALWAYS cracks me up :hehe:

Robo: "You are under arrest, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
Lewis: "He's dead Murphy."
Robo: "You have the right to an attorney.."
Lewis: "You're reading Miranda to a corpse!"

Robo: "I'm having......trouble"
:awesome:

But i have to say, his gun twirling in part 2 was far cooler:

:woot:

Robo: "I'm having......trouble"
:awesome:
:funny::funny::funny:

Yes! Between my group of friends, Robocop 2 is the most quoted movie, and of course, one of our favorite lines is "I'm...having......trouble!". Haha

Another good one is:

Robo: Doesn't the moon look wonderful tonight.
Lewis: But it's not even nighttime!
Robo: It's the thought that counts.....

the blu ray trilogy comes out OCT 6. I already have robocop on blu ray I want robocop 2 now.

The first Robocop is a classic, a flawless superhero/action movie, I bought a bootleg tape of it back in about 87/88 and watched it all the time.
Robocop 2 is nowhere as good, but i still like it as a superhero movie, it has some good ideas even if they are not used to their full potential.
I find robocop 3 unwatchable, but i do like the bit at the end when he flies in on the jetpack to save the people.
Y'know there is a section in Robocop2 that is a direct rip-off of the classic Amazing Spider-man issue 251, it's exactly the same, when Robo is on the front of the villan's van, punching in the window, and then the villan drives the van with him on front through a bar.

A poster so funny it had to be quoted 3 times on the same page to the point where it's mildly amusing visual gag was brought down to the point of being not really that funny at all and becomes yet another pile on of forced laughter and fake camaraderie on the internet.

for anyone who didn't see the paralles, robocop was meant mirror a christ like character, killed and raisen from the dead, in the final scene (RC1)where he is walking up to botica to (construction site) robocop is actually walking on water.

will there be any new features on Robocop 1?

i have the first Robocop movie as well on blu-ray and want the 2nd on blu-ray as well, but not if i have to buy the trilogy pack. i don't want Robocop 3

One of the '80's greatest films. I really believe that. Incredible combination of action, ideas, and black humor.

I liked Robocop it was unique - I think its time we ventured back to this genre but im tired of reboots that last one movie.

So if they bring back Robocop - i want a total redesign of the idea... there would be no point following on robocop those stories were solid.

Move away from the old robocop i think we should have a new one.

I won't see a Robocop film that is PG-13, no way. As bad as the 3d craze is, I cannot stand films that should be rated R being watered down into PG-13 crap.

is Robocop a R rated character or was it R just because it was the 80's and Verhoeven was the director?

So how would you want it differently then? A man who is just superhuman and because so he is a RoboCop? Yeah sounds stupid, I was thinking of Universal Soilder when I thought of that one. The whole superhuman angle.

Its not so much different, as moving on from what we already have.

I'm talking 100 years later (from Robocop 3) Old Detriot was gone, it was replace by a new Utopian programe which renamed the area as Delta City. We learn that the original Robocop "Alex Murphy" disappeared near 70 years ago which his absense lead to corrupt corporations fund and drive the Delta City's development. Delta City is split into three areas - The Utopia which is a heavy consumer technology advanced society, Industrial Zone which is a large area pumping pollution into the ozone, and The Outcast Wasteland - which is where most of the criminals has been forced to live by the Delta City's police force. For which is where we follow our new protagonist - who ends up in a similar fate to Alex Murphy but are created by a fallen corporation OCP who has secretes of there own. Basically all is not right, the new Delta City is built by the corrupt corporations that are killing the new ozone. It turns out Fallen OCP is filled with former Police officers of Old Detriot and OCP scientist that were made jobless. So new Robocop is tasks to save mankind.

I kinda like the Universal Soilder idea, were a man gets superhuman abilities after getting tested on by the military and becomes a cop who because of his conditions becomes a supercop a RoboCop, so he is a viglante police officer fighting crime. And the movie taking place in the year 2029 in Detroit.

If they can make Robocop's suit as agile as the Iron Man suit then it would be 'effin awesome, Verhoeven made a comment that Robocop was never shown to his back walking because it made his butt look funny.

I still have an old VHS tape from BestFilm of one single episode of the 80's Robocop cartoon and it was pretty good and not dumbed down like the stupid Robocop Alpha Commando cartoon of the 90's.

Anybody else think the OCP villian Dagget from Robocop 3 looked a little like Steve Martin?

But if the RoboCop suit looked similar to Ironman won't people think its a ripoff of Ironman suit? Bu it would be cool and a nice 21st cenury design for the charcter.

^ I mean similar as having more mobility the blending of rubber suits and CGI for the actor inside to jump/run/kick.

Just remember how Robocop in the movies would easily get knocked down and how stiff he was, we can't have that for the future of law enforcement.

The stiff movement was apart of the whole deal. If he was near invincible and moved like a cat then it would be difficult to put him in any real danger from the toughs he faced in the first one. Even Superman's got kryptonite.

The flexibility in the suit sounds like a good idea...he does not have to be invinceable, but can b a way to upgrade him for the new films.
