just make a direct sequel to the first movie that cuts out the other movies and show. i think a movie where they have more then one robocop that works would be a good idea like they are in other cities and that they have made even more advances with the cops.

i think a sequel would be beter than a remake
anyway what is your all time favorite robocop moment i'll say mine later.

Did you guys see "Robocop Prime Directive?" It was a Sci-Fi mini-series that was made as a direct sequel to the first movie but with a totally different cast and made on one of those Sci-Fi budgets that guarantees you it looks ok but not amazing. In any case, I liked that, it was a cool little series and it introduced another robocop named RoboCable.

I think I watched that. It had another cop who got runed into a Robocop and then the two Robos went at it.

And that weird, hollogram chick that kept bugging Murphy. I remmber watching almost all of those episodes on Sky One as a kid, nut forgot most of them by now.

And yeah, the Criterion Edition is awesome. It even has alternative shots and takes. Pretty frickin' sweet!

It must be really ****ed up being Robocop. He can replay all of the human memories untill it drives him mad.

Like in the first film he finds his old house and see it has been sold. He gets mad!

Or that crazy nightmare scene.

Indeed the emotion in the scene (walking through his old house) just makes me mad and sad at the same time....you realy get the human part of the character.

The one near the end takes the cake. Where he takes off his helmet and looks at his face in the weird mirror. Especially that sad music. "I can feel him. But I can't remebr him. Leave me alone".

Peter Weller is Robocop and in my humble opinion the movie is damn near perfect, there is no need for a sequel/prequel or reboot. It's was the bomb in 87 and it's still the bomb, no reboot needed.

Could'nt agree more.

"You have 30 seconds to drop your weapon"
Still one of my top 5 best lines in movies.

LONG LIVE ED-209!!!!!!

Then you ought to know how it's really said :woot: :oldrazz:

ED-209: Put down your weapon. You have twenty seconds to comply.

and to think that scene was nearly cut out by the studio. Luckily the filmmakers talked them into letting them do it. To me it really made the movie.

I saw these not too long ago, but I missed most of the end. I thought it was ok, not as bad as I thought it would be.

I agree Chris, that was a beautiful scene and it gave the movie heart. That just goes to show you the studio is often clueless and I'm not totally anti studio interfirence the way alot of people are on these message boards.

And let me just say this again, that score of the movie is nothing short of brillant and is one of the best, I absolutely love the music and believe it's the best Superhero movie music around...yes even better than Elfmans on Batman.

my favorite moments are how Robo kills clarence, and when he gives the meranda rights to a corpes on robocop 2. "i am having trouble"lol

The best part was that he'd kill you even if you dropped your weapon. LOL.

Ed-209 was a great comedic (and lethal for that matter) aspect of the film for sure. :D

How about those pointless commercials like:

NUKEM the board game
The 6000 SUX
Sunblock 5000
The crazy ad where the guy shoots himself with the pic of the baby at the end
The Electrocuting car theft protection system

HAHAHA LMAO.

Yeah I remember it being an eight hour miniseries stretched over four nights, it was garbage.

I had read about it before in one of those sci-fi magazines and how the article saying it was a continuation of the 1987 film and ignoring the sequels, PSSHHH what jerks we were.

Cracked article
Illegitimate Offspring: The 10 Most Tenuously Connected Movie Sequels

So, you have to make a sequel, but the original cast wants no part of it. Also, the plot of the first film makes a sequel logically impossible. Are you going to let that stop you? Of course not!
As the below movies prove, you're in good company! Well, you're definitely in company anyway.

Robocop 3
robocop3c.jpg
Sequel To: RoboCop
Tenuous Connection:
Anne Lewis, RoboCop's partner.
Plot Summary:
RoboCop helps a bunch of people assert their rights as property owners.
Why It Doesn't Work:
robocop3b.jpg
Peter Weller, the original RoboCop, decided to pass on the movie. Do you know anything else Peter Weller has been in? The guy basically faced the choice of being able to afford to eat, or starring in Robocop 3, and he chose to starve.

His replacement tried his hardest to purse his lips and talk like a robot, but the lack of Peter Weller made the movie seem like it belonged on television. Pretty much the only person who showed up for this movie who had ever been in another RoboCop movie was Nancy Allen, whose only other regular acting gig is showing up in our nightmares to whisper "Murphy, it's you," over and over.

During this movie, RoboCop replaces his hand with an automatic assault rifle attachment, attaches a jet pack to his suit, and fights robot ninjas. How do the words 'jet pack' and 'ninja' even get typed into a script about a cyborg that weighs over a ton? Modern screenplay-writing software should detect something like that and pop up a little paperclip that asks you if you've lost your f*****g mind, then erases your hard drive.

lol Peter Weller Starve part was funny!

This part had me dying!

Does anyone have any pics of the robo villain in robocop 3? It was a ninja robot or something.
