However, I think really Robotech should just stay in animated. But I could see a Macross trilogy if they wanted to go that route. Just make sure to include the love triangle and the destruction of earth.

I was wondering when Robotech would be turned into a live action series. I'm pretty excited because this series has the potential to be greater than Star Wars. There are four major storylines(Zentradi war, Southern Cross war, Invid Invasion, and The Sentinels) of the Robotech saga. Each one could be adapted into a live action triology. What's really nice about this saga is most of the stories have different characters so WB won't have to worry about resinging actors for more money after a triology is completed.



After witnessing how the WB has taken care of Harry Potter I think Robotech is in good hands. I we can all agree that it's better for WB to have Robotech than 20th century Fox. That would be my worst nightmare. That company didn't realize that X-Men was a cash goldmine so they would probably screw this franchise up also.

I'd rather see Tobey as Rick or Max over Dixon. Dixon was characterized as tall, muscular, and a wise cracker. I agree that Tobey as Rick is not perfect casting but, it's not horrible casting either.

You mean all four sagas. The fourth one was the Sentinels. I haven't read any of those books. I read the first 6 books(Macross) and the next 3(southern cross). I read part of the first book of the Invid Invasion and stopped reading because it was so depressing.

I'm hoping for 4 trilogies. The one story I know little about is the Sentinels series. Unfortunately, those books weren't turned into a complete anime series. An anime movie called the Sentinels started what was supposed to be a continuation of the Robotech anime series but, it ended abruptly.

Elijah Wood as Rick Hunter is interesting. I like that idea. However, I doubt that Elijah would want to play the role after saying he was completely burned out from the lord of the rings franchise. He said it was very unlikely that he would ever star in a trilogy again.
