It doesn't take much for people in movie theatres to start laughing these days, it certainly doesn't require anything the least bit funny.

Meh, I don't care if a few people laughed at the trailer. I know some who laughed at the Batman Begins trailer and was there opening night to see it.

Has there been any word on what ending Sly is going to use? If I remember correctly, didn't he say that he filmed like 3-5 different endings?

There was an ending where he goes the distance and loses the fight by decision and goes to Adrienne's grave to say "YO ADRIENNE! WE DID IT!" but Rocky losing didn't test well, so that ending is out.

I'm a fan of the series for the most part. I really didn't care for the last one,seemed too hollywoodish. My favorites of series is as follows:
rocky,rocky 2, rocky 3,rocky 4,and finally rocky 5. I just thought first two were great,relied more on acting and story line than anything else.
I dont think RB will be a great movie,but I also dont think it will be terrible(well, guess it could be). Long as it don't sux like rocky 5,then I'll be somewhat happy..I pretty sure it wont reach rocky 1 status,but if it can reach near rocky 4 it be all good.

i totally agree. mostly because i laughed when i saw the trailer but fully intend to be there on opening night, cheering on the Italian Stallion.

I wouldn't count on that. When I saw Casino Roayle opening night there were people laughing and going "Oh no," when the music started. They were quiet through most of the rest of the trailer and when it ended there was HUGE LAUGHTER. I mean I've never heard so many people laugh at a trailer. And in an early sold out theater everyone was talking very loudly and I've never heard so much NEGATIVE buzz after a trailer ends as people were mocking it and yelling at the screen.

I'm indifferent about it (first two good, 3 and 4 okay, 5 sucked) but 60+ year old Rocky fighting is ridiculous. I'm just passing the hugely negative reaction it got at my theatre because that is usually, a really bad sign then.

The only reason I MIGHT see this movie is because that dude from Heroes is in it, and I like him as an actor. But other than that... Rocky 1 is great, 2 is okay... after that, nothin' but CRAP.

I never expected this movie to do well. I just want it to be good.

As for Rocky fighting being ridiculous at that age, I don't know if Rocky is supposed to be that old even though Sly is. I think maybe he's supposed to be more like 50 or something? I dunno. Which would put him at least CLOSER to George Foreman's comeback age... which was, after all, the entire inspiration for this script to begin with.
