Syfy's Helix - from BSG's Ronald D. Moore

The acting and writing on this show is all over the place but I still find it some how watchable.

This show is like Twin Peaks with all the absurdity they venture into. But somehow you can't stop watching it.

It's so bizarre and contrary at times but entertaining. The musical choices are especially disturbing when contrasted with the onscreen events (although the Brady Bunch thing was hilarious). Despite it all sounding like a terrible show it is quite good in its own way.

How is Daniel's body and Julia's mother's body still in that good of condition after 30 years of being dead? I'm thinking that she's drugged or hallucinating a lot of what's going on.

It kind of looked like the moms body has some sort of coating to preserve it.

Looked like she had been skinned. That was muscle tissue on the surface. Either that or her skin turned translucent for some reason.

With the psychotic break he had I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow preserved their bodies although I don't know how he would do it.

Well, with the Andy Griffith theme, Helix has hit a new level of absurdity...

Episode 5 "Oubliette" Can't believe Peter snitched on Allen. I'm enjoying Steven Weber as the creepy cult leader. I don't think I've seen him play a villain before. Great reveal at the end that he's an immortal. Wasn't expecting that old lady to be his daughter either.

I think it ended fine. There was something of a closure to it all which I think they planned for because season 2 was the end of the line.
