Ronin!

so you're saying that no one is suited to direct this masterpiece, only known to us as Ronin?

Quentin Tarantino is suited to direct Ronin. Quentin Tarantino specializes in making movies in Ronin's genres - from samurais with fast paced martial arts, blood-drenched action with extreme violence in seedy settings, to black comedy (there's comedy in Ronin, too, the scenes with the hippie), to horror, and romance.

the problem being is that QT would make it his own, so the dialog and narrative might be radically different.

Zach is suited for Ronin but it's too obvious and he probably wouldn't want to do it anyway. But...better slow mo than extreme shaky camera any day. Though it has to be done in the right times.

Quentin Tarantino directed some of Sin City and directed it faithfully to Frank Miller's Sin City.

Zach would slow down the action as he always does, which reminds me that I'm just watching a movie, destroys the pace, and takes me out of the film. Quentin Tarantino doesn't use slow motion effects or extremely shaky camera effect on his action sequences on the Kill Bill series, etc.

QT also did Sin City just mostly to see how the HD cameras worked. Plus it was only for one scene.

I should read Ronin is there only one book? (Im a newb if you cant tell :))

Quentin Tarantino guest directed on Sin City because Robert Rodriguez asked him to, and encouraged him to try digital filmmaking, and Quentin Tarantino is a comic book fan, and Robert Rodriguez is one of Quentin Tarantino's closest friends. He only directed one scene because Robert Rodriguez was the official director of that project. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez have collaborated more than once. If they collaborate on Ronin that would be really great.

saw the first article last night. I wish him well with the character once it gets to production stage. Hopefully they will treat the character faithfully and turn in a good movie.

I know this is months later, but you're the master of the 'geek denial'.
