Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

I think this is an obvious certified fresh. It couldn't be worse than the last two Marvel Studios movies.

I am very pleased they praise tech categories and acting performance instead and I did not read a single "so much fun", which is the code for a brainless bad movie these days.

I think the movie will be fine and people that review and see it first usually let excitement guide them. The Marvel movies now are at the stage where you either love them, ehh to them, or hate them. They have that formula they plan to stick to, I know I really didn't like T:L&T just hoping I like this more. Phase 4 as been my least favorite phase so far with only really enjoying Spider-Man & Shang Chi.

What saves the previous phases for me are the Avengers movies-- take those away and to me phase 1 is the weakest:

The only movie I outright loved outside of A rangers for Phase 1 was Ironman

Feel like I left a few things out but as u can see by my personal rankings (which is not up for debate) I've enjoyed way more stuff in this phase than the first phase. They just have so much more content and they're taking so many more risks and they're telling so many different stories. I know it's not working for other but for me it's working just fine

Phase 1 I loved Cap 1 the more I watch it the more I appreciate it each time. That became my number 1 movie in phase 1, I would put Iron Man 1 right behind it and then Thor 1 feel is a B. It was one of my favorite versions of Thor(A1 being my top) I liked the balance of royal, cocky, jokey.

The Reviews could have said that Wakanda Forever was The Most Spectacular Film Ever Made, and, you still would NOT believe it.

I'm actually of the opinion that phase 2 was the weakest. The two standouts are Guardians and Winter Soldier which is the best MCU movie for me. Take those away though and these were my opinions of the rest of the movies:

Iron Man 3: my least favorite of all the MCU films
Thor 2: Loki is fun in it but otherwise unspectacular film.
Age of Ultron: never really liked it and it ages pretty poorly to me.
Ant-Man: I actually really like Ant-Man but still middle of the ground movie that doesn't really move the needle.

Phase 1 had very strong installments of Cap 1, Iron Man 1, and Avengers. Thor was a very respectable introduction to the character along with Loki (or rather Tom Hiddleston) being a revelation. I actually kind of enjoy both Iron Man 2 and Incredible Hulk warts and all. Hell i just LOVE Edward Norton as Banner. I think phase 1 pulled off a very difficult task whereas phase 2 was a bit more uneven.

There seems to be a contingent of black males online who already made up their minds and are against this movie stemming from the 'recast T'Challa' movement (at least from my small personal frame of reference). Ironic considering it's a black Panther movie--- but maybe for them, that's the point it's a movie w.out a black male lead and it's called black Panther. I respect peoples right to feel what they feel and protest whatever they want it just seems their anger is misplaced. Marvel was put in a funky situation with Chadwick's passing and I believe, for better or worse they're just trying to do right by him and pay tribute through the movie. We have future installments to recast via the multiverse I day out that energy out there after this project. But that's just my 2 cents.
