ruffallo isnt a person who would want too much money that the studio might think to recast for a solo movie...when is the third avengers announced... 2018? im sure there is enough time for one or two hulk stand alone movies until then...or a second right after wards...so then he would have had three movies too

I guess it is a given, especially if they're planning 3 movies for 2017. Just, I can only take so much studio denial that one could be in the works.

But I guess that's how the hype works. Kick everyone's hopes to the ground only to then turn around and be like psyche. Hopefully that psyche moment comes soon, I want them to just freaking announce it already so we can stop the back and forth of "are they confident in a Hulk solo movie?"

If they're still worried about doing a solo Hulk film, they could do an ensemble piece.

If the rumour is true that
Banner and Widow are a thing
then there could be a flick about Widow and Hawkeye going around being all spy sort of things, and Banner could act as their Q. The villain(s) and their deus ex machina has something that does something to the Hulk, but it's remedied.

End of the film, Banner Hulks out and wrecks things.

Better yet, have an alliance of villains that fit into each character's historical rogues gallery, and have a movie with three active protagonists. Bruce would very much be like their Q, but I think he'd be much more involved than just that (and more involved than just being a win button at the end) if say, the Leader is causing trouble.

But if it's equal parts a Hulk movie as it is a Black Widow and Hawkeye movie, then you'd probably have to bring Betty back around. And if Bruce x Natasha really is going to be a thing, then things are going to be awkward. Unless they can cleverly subvert it by having Natasha play it cool (she is a master spy, and that means being able to act like you have no involvement with something or someone), secretly admire the chemistry between Bruce and Betty, and then maybe break things up between her and Bruce for their own good.

But I dunno, the hand touch thing doesn't really confirm anything. Natasha being protective of Bruce/Hulk isn't the same as her being attracted to him. So it's likely just a rumor and nothing more.

Im more on the "waiting til its just right" side of the HULK movie thing. I dont want them rushing into it just because fans want a HULK movie RIGHT NOW. Get a great story/script first then unleash it. Do it right, do it right. We know it cant be another Bruce on the run from the govt plot, its gotta be something that makes sense for where he is now.

I'm kinda there too. I feel like there was a great movie somewhere in there with Ang's, it just went off the rails into too much abstract weirdness. TIH, while I liked the action and the chemistry between Ed & Liv, the story was basically a means to an end for the action set pieces.

You can have it both ways, the pacing just needs to be right and Banner needs to be interesting enough to hold the audience in between Hulk-outs. And that's the tough part, he's supposed to be a restrained individual trying not to show too much emotion but Joss & Mark did a good job of giving him some personality.

I think something that gets missed about the TV show's success was how much Bixby made you invest in him, first and foremost. He carried that show for the 45 min the Hulk wasn't there, and I think Mark's gotten the closest to replicating that. Only a solo movie will prove if he can truly make that happen or not...

Judging by how the teaser looked does anybody else think Hulk wont be in this movie as much and will be sent away like those earlier rumors stated?

Gunn said the PLANET HULK/GUARDIANS rumor was flat out false. I think there is a possibility that Banner leaves at the end of the film though to go back to hitch hiking the highways and byways. I think Hulk has to take some part in the fight against Ultron just based on that multi character piece of art we've all seen.

Joss said Banner would have a bigger role, and that we would get more Hulk. so don't think so.
Hulk getting shot into space would be a good way to set up a Planet Hulk movie, but those rumors turned out to be false.

Does anyone else notice Hulk looks more like Ed Norton's Hulk? (Incredible Hulk)

Yeah, kind of more cut body wise. I think they kinda wanted to go the more recent route of having Hulk and Banner honestly be two separate entities and not have them look so much alike.

I'm honestly really digging it

I can't wait for Doctor Strange to make his appearance because he'll be able to tame the Hulk and calm his ass down.

We should have Strange and Hulk together in Avengers 3 to start up the Defenders. I know the show is canon, but yeah.

Any chance of a grey Hulk? I liked Mr Fixit. The arguments between him and green were great. Also led to the Doc Sampson uniting all three personalities.

If Hulk were getting a solo film that era of Hulk has a lot of potential to mine for stories. I just don't think that Marvel would do it.

What we've learned from the teaser : Hulk is freakishly strong

Yeah I'd been rockin my old one since Avengers hit theatres

So, Hulk turning against his teammates, being untrustworthy due to outside interference....seems like a bit of a rehash of the first film.

Well not if it ends on a totally different note. No matter the cause, perhaps this "Hulk out" makes Banner accept that he is indeed a "time bomb" and he leaves at the film's end.

That kind of makes the first film seem retroactively less poignant, and makes his whole arc across the Avengers films basically: "I don't think I can be a member of this team. Oh wait, I can. Oh wait, no I can't. Goodbye."

Well before we jump to conclusions we have absolutely no idea why hulk and IM are fighting. So you can assume what you want, but fact of the matter is much remains to be seen.
we know Banner/Hulk have expanded roles in this movie, so the depth of thier actions may be more complicated than we are led to think.

In other words a replication of his career as an Avenger in the comics. :word:

So...what? Why is that 40 year old story relevant now?He also teamed up with Namor to destroy the Avengers, should Whedon write that as well? Even in the comics his Avengers membership is inconsistent, and right now he's currently a member of two different Avengers teams, and has been a for a while now. In the Ultimate universe he's consistently been the weapon last resort for their Avengers equivalent, is that somehow less canon in the eyes of the MCU?
