I think Bruce helped build The Hulkbuster, so he would know how to increase the durability of it.

They went from "Got ya buddy!" to "F**** YOUUUU!"

Huk should definitely win between he and the Hulkbuster. He probably gets talked down, or Banner gains some kinda control.

Just a question to all, do you think Hulk will be sent off into space at the end of AoU?

I doubt it. The part where all the Avengers are fighting the drones looks like it occurs AFTER the hulk buster fight, so there will really be no need to send Hulk away, as he looks like he's already back in control. Also, what would they do with Hulk in space? Gunn said he wouldn't use him in GOTG and there's no plans for another Hulk movie…..maybe, if he does end up in space it could be tied into how he/The Avengers come across Thanos…?

Yeah good points. I just guess I have always wanted a Planet Hulk movie.

Another thing is, how would you get hulk into space withiut it feeling forced or contrived?

He may not be sent up intentionally by the rest of the team, but rather on accident or in a case of self-sacrifice (similar to what IM did in the 1st one). And just because Gunn said it doesn't make it so. Do you think he'd come right out and say "Okay, you got me....yes, Hulk's going to be in GOTG2."

Very true! Sure hope so!

Thats the reason, which would also be a step backward in character development. But HOW do you get him on a rocket and into space? Who builds the rocket? Who made the decision?

In not saying its impossible. But there needs to be a good reason and a clever way to do it.

Maybe the rocket was to ship Ultron off to space?

Maybe not a rocket, but a Quinjet ;)
Assuming, of course, that a Quinjet is designed to survive in space with enough life support. Who knows? It would make for an interesting post-credits scene.

Gunn appears too hostile to the idea of Hulk being in GOTG and outright stated it wouldn't happen. He doesn't seem to be the type to lie to fans and I believe him when he says the only human in GOTG2 is Quill.

The damage in the Hulkbuster scene is going to be immense. I guess that how the fight ends will depend on how it starts. If he has gone bonkers due to SW messing with his mind then I would assume the fight will end differently than if he's just gotten so angry he loses control. Different causes/motivations = different solutions.

A complete RAGE OUT where he murders someone?

That wouldn't happen though. If he kills a bad guy they'd still take issue with it but he has never really done that unless it was like some omnipotent enemy.

Also, I agree Spitfire, it's really odd for people to just be standing there. There's even this one guy who's leaning in like he wants to get a closer look. Who the hell leans into a path of destruction caused by two huge beings who are duking it out? Does he want to lose his face or something?

People should be running for cover. It's bad enough the Hulk is rampaging, but he's also got an 11 foot mass of metal to throw around too. While that may be cool, realistically, us squishy humans should want to be miles away from that mayhem. I'd be content with watching bits of the fight from news footage. I don't need to be showing up in the news footage myself, especially not as collateral damage.

In today's world, most people would be taking their phones out to record the fight happening.

I don't know about space, but I can see Hulk/Banner leaving the team at the end of the film for a variety of reasons. Thus opening the spots on the roster for the Twins and Vision since in a way we it would be the removal of not one but two characters.

Those "leaks" that were making the rounds more or less had Hulk completely absent from Phase 3 before Infinity War II. The leaks were, I believe, certified ******** in the end, but it wouldn't surprise me if AoU is the last we see of the big fella until IW.

Considering there's nowhere else to squeeze him, that's probably true. Although phase 4 needs a hulk solo or team up of some sort.

I don't think Hulk should be shoehorned into GOTG 2 just because fanboys wanted to see a Planet Hulk movie. Gunn should do what he feels is right for the franchise, not by the opinions of the Internet. I don't want GOTG 2 to suffer the fate of IM2 (which feels like a checklist for the buildup of the Avengers to some fans), after building so many goodwill in the first movie.

I really hope so. I want to see skyscrapers being destroyed one after the other & maybe even a good portion of the city wiped out in this battle. Anytime you have beings like Hulk, or someone of his equivalent like Thor, fight there has to be immense collateral damage.

It's one thing MoS got right. That's just me though, I'm sure many will disagree.

I agree that Gunn should be allowed to do what he feels right for his movie. He already faces the tough job of matching/bettering the first movie without being forced to include characters that won't support this goal.

I think we will get this during the Hulkbuster scene. There will be people in the building we see them smashing into and serious damage needs to be done by the superheroes themselves if we are going to get a meaningful reason for a civil war movie.

Hulk has absolutely no business in a GOTG2 movie. IIRC, he never was a Guardian, and there are far more worthy characters to include in GOTG2 such as Phyla-Vell, Moondragon, Mantis, Adam Warlock, etc. Besides, most movies will take place on earth, so that's fewer movies Mark Ruffalo would be in f they shot him in space. Besides, when was Hulk ever Bruce Banner during the entire Planet Hulk Storyline? Would Mark Ruffalo even be needed for a Planet Hulk movie?

Well IF they did planet hulk, what makes you think it'd be an exact adaption of the book? The movie could be based on the storyline without following it panel by panel. Same thing with civil war, which feige already said wouldn't be exactly like the comics.
