You know, I feel like you've been talking about this "rumor" of a 1TB console for like a year. I know there was recently a listing with it if I recall, but that's super recent. What other rumors have there actually been?

The Xbox One is designed in a way that you really can't do that without completely redesigning the console.

I like that Microsoft is copying Sony. They seem to actually be learning from their mistakes.

Do what?

Make the hard drive replaceable. The way it's now, you have to take apart the whole console.

well, I've been talking about a 1TB model for some time, but this is the first time that a rumor has popped up pointing to a standard 1TB version.

And that rumor was the recent one about the listing on a Spanish retail site about a "basic" 1TB model.

that's all I've heard about it.

Folks have been talking about 1 TB since people realized that a half a dozen next gen games fill up an Xbone.

Yeah, but it seems like you've been referencing "rumors" or a rumor of something for almost as long as you've been talking about it. Must be mistaken.

Well, I mean, if a consumer is replacing the HDD completely I guess so, but MS can still design the system as is with a bigger HDD since they're putting it together to begin with.

EDIT: Unless you're just talking about making replaceable HDD as a feature then yeah, okay, that makes sense.

Yes. I think that's the plan. Until the Slim, or whatever they'll call the revision comes out.

Which I assume will look a lot like the current PS4.

I don't recall any other rumors about a standard 1TB model.

but maybe there were other rumors and maybe I did discuss them.

That was many eons ago - I don't remember. :o

yeah, I think if they are going to make the hdd replaceable, that will come with the inevitable Slim redesign.

I need a spare controller (and charger) so I might get this now.
