Runtime confirmed by Fox: 92 minutes!

a lot of respect that you are so positive.
i am suprised.
i hope you will like the movie.

Why not be positive....??

Why would you want to totally ruin a movie for yourself, before you've even seen it.....

Most of the time when we do that.....the attitude we walk in with, is the attitude we walk out with.......why not walk in ready to enjoy a summer afternoon at the movies with family and friends...get some popcorn, a soda and sit back in the cool theatre, relax, and let what happens with the movie.......happen.....no griping, whining, *****ing, moaning is going to do a bit of good at this point......so I plan on walking into the theatre ready to enjoy a nice time with the family.....if people want to still speculate....that's cool....that's what we do around here.....lol

to me it looks like tehy again dummbed down the movie. my personal opinion.
i hope i am wrong. SS looks sick(in a good way).

Alicia had a window? And here I thought all that girl did was drink - (in a bar, and at the party at the end).

Lol.:yay:
Yep, if you didn't know her from the books all you'd think is 'who is that beautiful blind lush and why I cant I find one just like her?'
Seriously, she even paid for the drinks too...:wow:

Well, she is blind...Ben could've just took the money out her pocket. :o That's not funny, I am so ashamed.

I do indeed :csad:

Did we ever get an explanation for that? Especially the bust that looked a lot more like the comic book Thing? (If I remember right there were 3 different busts we saw)
There were more Thing statues at the exhibition. I still think that at least one of those was an early sculpt for the make-up.

Picking pockets is the absolute worst profession for Ben... what with the way that Ben so deftly lifted Debbie's engagement ring off the pavement.

That isn't always the case. Sometimes I go into a movie with low expectations and to my surprise I really enjoy the movie.

I've seen nothing negative about this film yet except a people in these forums complaining about the movie being 15 minutes too short. Aside from those people...nothing is negative here. All the footage is amazing and a clear improvement over the 1st film.

Expectations don't affect my final judgement. My two polar examples are Hulk and Superman Returns (I have a million examples of this, but these are my most extreme ones).

I walked into Hulk thinking this will be mindless garbage, Hulk smash and flat out suck, but no less I went there opening day (I had a graduation ceremony that day, so that was part of my dinner/movie reward). I walked out thinking it was a fantastic movie, and it still stands as one of my favorite comic movies (only the Spider-Man movies surpass it, and Batman Begins is tied with it).

On the other hand, I walked into the 10:00 Tuesday night for Superman Returns thinking I am about to see something wonderful. It could set a new standard. I walked thinking I had seen a movie that wanted to be good and impactful, but fell flat on its face in execution. I wasn't impressed, and I have since gone on to now thinking it sucked.

If it is great, I will see it as such, if it isn't, then I will see it as such. This runtime is just a poor indicator (much like the advertisements and news for my examples), but the movie will stand on its own.

You spin it right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby

I'm talking fanboys that spend 98% of their time on the internet....sorry I should have been more specific....

It's all a matter of opinion, I'm total opposite of my opinions on those two movies after seeing them.....Hulk put me to sleep, my family and I loved Superman Returns...

A lot of people are. I have been in verbal dogfights in both forums debating these movies in the past (and with others also). I quit going to the SR forums entirely cause I was sick of being called stupid for many of my views on the movie.

Anyways, that was just an example showing how I am not swayed by prior feelings I have toward the movie before I see it.

There's nothing to spin. I base my opinions of a film on my experience not on what my perception of what my experience might be because of the runtime. I'm not going into a film analyzing & counting every second to make sure it reaches some benchmark to make it cool by fanboy standards. I go into enjoy it...period. Everything I've seen so far has been cool and looks like alot of fun. If you want to focus on the runtime as a baromometer for the quality of the film and ignore everything else...that's your problem.

Hey, as long as the debate is free of name-calling and respectful I'm cool with it.......I don't need nor necessarily want everyone to have my opinion....lol.......it would be kind of boring that way.....and if people want to speculate on their opinion of this movie before they see it, thats fine too, as long as it follows the criteria I put above......

I don't have a big problem with the runtime, and I'm less than a week away from judging the movie by myself, for free.
It's just your tenacious defense of the movie, no matter what (things like "Fox knows how to please the fan and the average joe") that smells of damage control.

What...am I excluded from defending a movie that looks awesome because I invested in the company? Hell I couldn't defend any film then due to my investments. You forget I invested in the company because I love the characters. LOL And I do NOT defend a movie no matter what. I just realize that major studios cannot make films to the precise wishes of fanboys and can understand changes they make to please a larger audience and I appreciate the fact I can see these characters on screen...despite those changes. It just seems like we've all become spoiled from all of these films coming out.

I do think we'll see much better films from Marvel Studios with Iron Man & The Hulk because there is nobody else out there who wants to protect those characters and the fanbase more than Marvel.

Yeah, the world would suck if we were all the same. I get bored of myself after a while, so I would be REAL bored if I had to put up with me all the time, lol.

That is why I am thankful for multiple political parties. It keeps things in check (somewhat).

Yeah, now all we have to work on is the idiots that run those political parties....:o :cwink:

Guys, this caught my attention. It may not be anything but according to my local theatre, FF2 is 120 min, and they have never been wrong about their times (only by about 2 or 3 min ): http://www.myvue.com/cinemas/film_i...D4879A5C9CA1EE6AD6839&cn=1&ci=28&ln=1&fi=6307

and another link with actual bookings says the same thing:

http://www.myvue.com/cinemas/timetable.asp?SessionID=B81571356BCD4879A5C9CA1EE6AD6839&cn=1&ln=1&ci=42&fi=6307|2057|

While I'd like to believe it, it's pretty much confirmed that it's 90 minutes.

AI is longer than this film.

Too true, LOL...how some of those people get elected I will never understand (I won't offend anyone by naming names, however).

Despite AD's reputation across the forum he is right here,no matter what you suspect his motives to be you can't be sure and he has the right to think 92 minutes is fine and defend that stance if he so chooses.

I think this whole 92 minute thing is a conspiracy, and I blame ................... Bush's dogs.....:cwink:

Heck with it, this movie was always destined to be a mindless fun flick anyways...85 minutes of straight action with SS should prove to be fun, nothing more, nothing less.

At least I got the Spider-Man franchise for a balance of character development, action and story...and X-Men to a lesser extent.
