on IMDB they say the runtime of the movie is about 117 Minutes. Do you think it's true ?

In my opinion, these debates are of the most pathetic sort.

The Dark Knight - perfect run-time for THAT film

Zombieland - SAME

As long as the rune time fits the story its great. BLOAT is the worse thing to happen to any film (see both Transformers for example)

With that said, I doubt imdb is right

Why is almost the entire world getting this film a full 10 days before us in North America? That's what I'd like to know. Also, nice that they have fixed their Japan glitch from the last movie. They didn't get IM1 inJapan until September ' 08(WTF?). At least with this one the Japanese market will be getting it in June.

Oh, and I don't believe IMDB about the runtime until it's confirmed somewhere else. 117m though isn't bad at all. It's basically 2 hours and they don't need to waste time with an origin story for this one.

No, 117 minutes, it's bad for this movie. And IMDB tells the runtime with end credit. -_-'

End credits are like only 3-4 minutes long. So 113m of movie time then. Not a big deal, IMO. As I said, there's no origin story to go through. This'll hit the ground running. I don't see this as a FOX-type runtime problem, I really don't. 1 hr & 53 minutes is enough if that's all the story requires. Bloating is just as bad as what FOX does.

Jon won't be able to answer the runtime question until everything is fully locked sometime after the first week of April. So another 3-4 weeks. They always work on this stuff right up until the very end when they have to shipit off to make prints and distribute them(which itself takes a couple of weeks). And you guys in Europe got the first IM film before us as well(at least I know France did).

yes, in 2008 we had the movie on april 30th and in USA it was may 2nd!

Now i can't tell you how happy i am that we get such a big movie before USA!

actually, including the Black Sabbath Iron Man fusion, it's 8 minutes, 06 seconds. I would know...I have the end credits music ripped to my ipod

but add in the Fury cameo, that's 8:21

I timed the credits from when the first actual credit appears(the director credit) and end it when the credits actually end. The end scene with Fury I didn't count.

So normally the runtime of iron man 2 can't be under 125 minutes.

We'll see. I hope. This movie is my hope to be happy in my life. I'm so alone, without friends, without love. I need a superhero movie as good as dark knight. I trust in Marvel studio. Iron man 1 was good like batman begins. The incredible hulk was so so because they cut 40 minutes of the movie. I saw the scene cut and it was very good. Sad

But there was a context behind : the hulk of ang lee was so intelligent. So I forgive Marvel studio for this time. Iron man 2 must be very good. I pray each night.
