Iron Man 2 Runtime of the movie

117 minutes including end credits(7 minutes) sounds good to me.

uhm... runtime of end credit is not 7 minutes but 10-12 minutes -_-'

Uhm... The original Iron Man has an end credit run time of approximately 7 minutes and 10 seconds (before the after credits scene comes on).

Actually IMDB tells runtime of iron man 1 is 126 minutes.

In fact, the runtime of iron man 1 (with the end credits) is 120 MINUTES.

but for iron man 2, 117 minutes with end credits, It's... It's horrible. We have to do something if it's true :awesome:

I hope Marvel don't cut somes scenes like they did for the incredible hulk (40 minutes very important OMG !!!!!!!!)

Obviously I wasn't talking about the run time of the actual movie (you can't actually think I was saying Iron Man was seven minutes long) but the end credits. In response to your claim that end credits are 10-12 minutes.

Yeah, I know, and you're right (so i was wrong for this time sorry) but my last post talked about an other problem:cwink:

It changes nothing about the problem of the runtime of iron man 2. Thing what you want about this but me, i'm worry:dry:

I am quite shocked at that run-time to be honest, thought it would be at least longer than the first movie by about 5 mins, this is dissapointing if true.

I still don't think it's true. They haven't even locked the film yet I don't think. Movies like this have the official runtime about a week or so before the film comes out.

Probably correct.
Even if it's not, 117 minutes with 7 minutes subtracted for credits is still 1 hour 50 minutes. That's not a terrible runtime if you ask me, especially since we don't know exactly what's in the movie or how it will be told.
If it was 1.30 or something... then I'd be genuinely worried.

yep but you have to know imdb add 5 minutes at the runtime (each time) + end credit (7 minutes) = 12 minutes.

a prove ? They said iron man 1 = 2H06 in imdb. It's wrong, the movie did 2H00.

So It's a very bad runtime for iron man 2.
But don't worry, it's probably wrong.:cwink:

117 minutes isn't bad, that's almost 2 hours and it's a lot better than what Fox gives us in regard to runtime. Looking at the sad smiley next to the thread title I was thinking it was 100 minutes. lol.

@ kedrell: In Belgium we get the movie on the 28th of april and i am very happy that we in Europe get a big hollywood blockbuster movie once before the USA!!!

About the runtime: I hope At least 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes WITH credits) for runtime for IRON MAN 2

Maybe someone with Twitter should ask Jon for a runtime?!
Maybe everyone should just chill until ALL of the final edits have been completed. They are still in Post-Production right now. With that being said, I'm sure that they have an idea as to how long the runtime will be, but until we get official confirmation, lets just sit back and enjoy the ride. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, there is no origin story to go through, so it will start from the get-go.

IMDB seems to be off by 5 minutes... some times. I don't know why this is so, but I do know that it's also right on the money a bunch of times.

I just checked "Hellboy II" and it gives the right runtime for that, as well as for "Moon", "The Rundown", "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith". Just movies I picked at random and checked up on...

So there's no systematic adding of 5 minutes to the runtime at IMDB. Seems like it happens some times... but most times it doesn't.

I've got my fingers crossed for 2+ hours, I want to see as much armoured antics as I can for my money. :awesome:

I'm sure the movie will be long enough. The best runtimes for me because, they used the time well IMHO, were Iron Man and Spider-Man 1 and 2.

Loved TDK and liked Batman Begins but both movies were atleast 15 minutes too long.

If this film is going for the same popcorn tone as its predecessor (which is no bad thing) anything much more than 2 hours would be pushing I'd have thought. I know there are loads of characters but I'm not expecting any really deep studies of them.

Have to agree with the other who say that run-time is too short, how many 2nd movies were shorter than their predecessors and longer? Not many, X2, TDK, Spidey 2, Hellboy 2 were all considered improvments on their predecessors and were all longer, with IM2 being shorter, and being very dissapointed about what I heard in the novelisation thread, I am not impressed at the moment, hope I am proved wrong.
