My least favorite of the Rush Hour movies. Action seemed toned down compared to previous Rush Hour movies.

Jackie Chan can still do some cool stuff(check out New Police Story if you haven't yet), but the action sequences need to be better choreographed and set in locations that aren't too over the top. Even in his heyday, Chan probably wouldn't have done something as dangerous as fight over the real Eiffel Tower, but the blatantly obvious special effects really takes you out of the scene and you don't get the feeling of danger or authenticity as a regular Jackie Chan action sequence.

Comedy was probably on a similar level as the previous movies. I liked the duet between Chan and Tucker in the gentleman's club the most.

Story seemed to be as garbled as X3. Hopefully this kind of film making doesn't follow every Ratner movie from now on. The resolution seemed just as rushed in Rush Hour 3 as in X3. There was an opportunity there for one more chase or something.

Is he? Where? He seems to be doing quite fine.

Read it from some entertainment news website. I'm not surprised though. If you read any interview, the guy loves to brag about his houses and cars and lifestyle. A director of his caliber (low) really doesn't demand the big director wages, so he's probably going the typical route of people of his kind : spend money like you're more than what you truly are. That's the only reason he's got the job he has.

Heh, beware Warhammer, as SolidSnake follows you around and goes out of his way to bash your opinion, BEWARE... Anyway Warhammer, don't mind SS typical elitist know-it-all, just wait till he gets either put on probo again or banned for good... He's only been warned like gazillion times not to be a dick. :whatever:

Again, funny coming from YOU, oh expert of elitism. :whatever:

And you couldn't be further from the truth on your internet assessment of me. Boy do you make me laugh! :woot::woot:

This movie was slightly enjoyable....

But the mediocre quality got to me eventually. It started to feel like I had seen it before. It was so bad that it felt like I had watched it on cable... over and over... and over.

Just saw it, and it was good really made me laugh as well.

Just thought they could have done more with the plot.

Just got back from seeing it, funny as hell. I would have to rank this the same as rush hour 2. it didnt top the 2nd but on par.

Carter: You ol crouching tiger, dont you hide that dragon!

lol Tucker is just great in the films, he had me laughing though out it really.

Am I the only one that found it hard to believe that there were no bloopers for the interrogatio scene :ninja: & the singing in the taxi scene to Lady Marmalade was cut.

A quick review from me - I dug it as much as you can really dig any of these Rush Hour flicks - they're always passable entertainment, good laughs and action, although not really the kinda thing you revisit much.

Some really good jokes (I love the bit with the nun and pretty much anything with the cab driver), nice to see both Han and the Captain come from the first one back, and I was pleased to that Carter actually acted a little bit more like a cop this time - in the second one he was basically just screwing things up, this time he actually does a few things worthwhile.

It's kinda sad to see the camera pull back on a couple of the big stunts because apparently Jackie - now 53 - couldn't handle everything himself anymore. But it's probably to be expected. He still cracked his freaking sternum doing this movie, so it's not like he didn't earn his keep. And I've never Jackie in a swordfight before, but the duel at the end was pretty damn nifty for Chan fans.

It's amusing how much these movies follow a formula. Lee always has a personal connection to the bad guys... Carter is always correct that you should "follow the rich white man" to find who's funding the baddies... and who cares? Nobody takes these movies seriously. Like I said, they're total lightweight entertainment, to be watched and then promptly disposed of.

You know, there are so many laughs when Tucker and Chan break the fourth wall during the credit outtakes that I kinda wish the characters would just say stuff like that in the actual movies. We're not taking these films seriously anyway, go ahead and have the characters admit that this is the third one and that Brett Ratner is making them do this crap.

Oh, one last note: The very last scene is pretty dumb.

They knock out a French cop and the rest of the cops just sit there and watch and have no reaction whatsoever. Then they strut off dancing to a song they can't possibly hear unless they can hear the soundtrack. Meanwhile, last time I checked, there were still Triads in the Eiffel Tower with machine guns, and the only protection they gave to Soo Young was to send her down the elevator, so she's probably been shot to crap by now. Great.

Ahahaha I agree, not to mention that
Jackie's "bro" just died. He got over it pretty quick.

It was an okay movie, it was really the weakest part of the trilogy. The action just didn't seem to be on par with the other movies and the comedy, while good, had a few too many lame jokes.

Saw it again yesterday with my brother. Better the 2nd time. I like it better than RH2.

So many great lines in this movie. definately the best out of the 3.

Agreed, the very first time I watched it it's AWESOME!

And I agree it's the best of the 3 if not on par with the first IMO.:word:

We know of at least two deleted scenes in the film by now...

- No "Lady Marmalade"
- The "farewell" scene mentioned in LA Weekly's Ratner profile, where Carter and Lee say goodbye and Lee tells him "You will always be my homie."

So there is a real ending to this movie eh. I liked what we got but it did end to suddenly. Although I do like how the movie in the theatrical cut ends with the song they first sang together.

Hey I just tipped the vote to 7 out of 10....go me

Noemie Lenoir....lawd.

she was sooo hot:wow:

I like how they kept the flavor of the old movies and kept some of Tucker's ad-libs in. The one that had me on the floor was when they were at the Chinatown martial arts school and the 7ft. dude picks up Carter and he's like, "Lee, got a big problem here man. This boy on steroids, got a head like Barry Bonds." XD
