Action-Adventure Rush Hour 4

You know you don't have to post the same link twice, right?

Well there we have it.

The leads were such a big part of the appeal of this. He’ll be very hard to replace without the whole thing feeling very different.

If Jackie is out, then so am I. You can't have Rush Hour 4 without both Tucker and Chan. No thanks.

I agree now, but I think circa 2010 they were close to making one. But yeah, Jaden got too old, not cute anymore and After Earth sort of killed his career.

Who knows, maybe he’ll make a cameo on the Cobra Kai series. Will Smith is still a producer after all.

Yeah, but what I'm talking about is right now. There has to have been someone or a group of people to start the rumor of Karate Kid 2 in order for Chan and his people to feel a need to address it. The rumor of Rush Hour 4 is more understandable since that's been talked about forever and that new pic of him and Tucker was recently floating around. That's why I was surprised he even mentioned Karate Kid 2.

I don't watch the series, but I highly doubt he'd show up.

Chris Tucker is 50 and Jackie Chan is 67.

Leave it alone. The third movie sucked and took too long to get made and practically bankrupted New Line Cinema.

The TV series sucked. Move on. Find a new buddy cop movie or duo. Buddy cop movies can still work, just make it exciting and fresh.

Yeah at least we still have the first 2 films. Both are classics imo.

That cocaine fueled energy was what made those first two so fun. If you play it like that, it will be just sad. They're just too old for it.

Makes no sense. The last movie didn't even make money. It also came out 15 years ago.

EDIT:

Also, the studio made a TV series based on that time that no one watched.

The third one was so bad.

They should do a crossover with Lethal Weapon. Or maybe have Tucker shoot a cameo as Carter in Beverly Hills Cop 4

There are parts of Rush Hour 3 that I do like, such as the French taxi driver, but Carter and Lee just seemed tired at that point. That kinetic energy from the first two wasn't there. Doing a fourth Rush Hour sounds like trying to do a fourth Friday. You could...but do you need to?

Then again, after Top Gun Maverick, studios and actors reviving projects thought done years or even decades ago making a resurgence doesn't surprise me. Hell, it actually just makes me sad.

The third movie wasn't even any good. What is the point of doing a fourth movie? Jackie Chan is 68 years old. Chris Tucker is 51. Would Inspector Lee even still be a cop by this point? Like the third movie literally had Tucker's character perving on the little girl they were trying to save in the first movie. Sometimes it's better to leave things alone.

It's a stupid idea. The franchise peaked with the second movie, which came out in 2001. They way overspent on Rush Hour 3, which only made $258 million worldwide and likely cost a ton. Not to mention, Jackie Chan is in his 70s now. What else can you really do here?

Plus, all the baggage Brett Ratner brings to the project if he returns.

Even if you hope to revive this like Bad Boys, you will likely have to jettison Ratner.

Ugh, hope this doesn’t happen!

: I'm going to refer you, at the same time, to the flight logs which were marked… that first entry has President Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, Jeffrey Epstein and the initials GM.
