Although its star Jackie Chan is already 53, Rush Hour director Brett Ratner is optimistic they can make a fourth installment in the Rush Hour franchise.

"I hope so. Why not?" he said. "If people like the movie and they go and see it. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are great entertainers. Rush Hour for me is an international film."

And the film's producer Arthur Sarkissian was optimistic they would soon be starting work on the next film. "I've spoken to Chris Tucker," he stated. "I said, 'We've waited six years to do Rush Hour 3 and if we wait another six years, Jackie is going to be way too tired to do this stuff. So Chris is on board - he said he would love to do it.

"But we have to make sure it stands on its own. And it hinges on how successful 'Rush Hour 3' is, for the studio to say we want to make another one.

"If we do, I'm strongly thinking about setting it in Moscow.
"

Jackie Chan has been recorded saying he didn't like the outcome of the first film because it was too Americanized, he only did the second one because he was offered a lot of money and the third one he did for the fans. This one looks highly unlikely (unless they pay Jackie's retirement! :woot:).

I loved the first two, but the third one was letdown. It was still a bit funny, but paled in comparison to the first two. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are getting too old (especially Jackie). Jackie Chan does not want to do another. Brett Ratner's directing gets progressively worse. I don't like it when franchises branch past trilogies. I vote no.

I loved the first one, the second one was alright and I liked the third one. Still I think they should end it with their deaths, maybe Carter dying near the middle then Lee dying in the end and Soo Young finishing it off. Or just one of them dying or with them both retiring from the police forces.

Idk, sounds like a bad idea. But they should do it soon if theyre ever gonna do it, jackie is getting too old

rush hour 3 shouldn't have taken so long to make...if they were ever going to make a 4th one...it should have been out already.

Yep. Two or three years after the second movie would have been great. Rush Hour 2 was the fourth highest grossing movie of 2001.

I loved the first film. I liked the second film. I loathed the third film. I could end up loving a supposed fourth film, though.

I loved all 3 movies.
perfect trilogy, imo.
please...don't make a fourth one...could ruin everything.
let this as the good trilogy it is.

i found that a lot of the deleted scenes from rush hour 1 and 2 didn't make much sense to have included in those movies, they were perfect as is. but there were a few key points that they deleted from rush hour 3 that i feel would have been very important to leave into their story. 1- mentioning that lee was adopted would have helped with the storyline. 2- the ending resolved the whole point of their 'brotherly feud' throughout the movie and ened up more like how the first 2 ended with them in an airport and going somewhere together. plus you see them both with their girls so theres no hard feelings. the 3rd was good, i stil prefer the 2nd one i think out of all the movies. it used to be the first but it switched after repeated viewings. but the 3rd just kinda seems to stay in the same spot for me, good as a whole part of the trilogy (would have been better had certain plot scenes not been omitted) but not as strong as a whole like the first 2 (although that opinion would have most likley changed if they had the plot points readmited). but it's not horrible or anything. i gladly own it. i would most definetly be up for a fourth movie as long as they had enough ideas to keep things fresh. 3 seemed like it was struggling at times with where to go next and how to make a whole movie work

I loved the first two. Part one was great, part two was even better. It had me laughing alot more than one. But I still consider the first Rush Hour to be a "new classic". The third one just didn't set well with me. I know that Chris and Jackie improvise alot of their scenes, and maybe it was just me, but it seemed like in this one, they weren't really doing it so much. Some of the jokes you saw coming.

I'd see the fourth one if they make it, but I actually believe they could just stop here and end the franchise as is. IMO.

Not another one. All 3 are mildly entertaining at best and pale in comparison with Jackie's Chinese/HK productions.

Rush Hour 3 was garbage... Chris Tucker was a fatass... Jackie is losing the skills he had back in the day (the stunt double scenes were painfully obvious)... I mean enough is enough... how did they go from Rush Hour 1 & 2 to that... no thanks to a fourth installment.

Hurm. Sounds like he doesn't really likes these films. He should stop making them. We don't NEED another one of these crapola movies.

Jackie Chan Says He is in The Expendables 3/Working on Rush Hour 4

With the first film earning $274.5 million and the second $300.4 million at theaters worldwide, it is almost guaranteed that Lionsgate will be making The Expendables 3 and it sounds like they have a big addition for the third installment lined up.

Talking at a press conference for CZ12 in Kuala Lumpur, Jackie Chan said he is on board. "Sly had invited me to be in 'Expendables 2' but I was too busy filming 'CZ12' and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes."

He added that he hoped the third installment of the franchise would run along the lines of a 'buddy-buddy' movie should Chan be starring in it, to which Sylvester Stallone obliged.

Chan said he also hopes to be reteaming with his "Rush Hour" co-star Chris Tucker soon. The script they are currently working with is for a movie with the title Skip Tracer, but the actor said it could be turned into Rush Hour 4.

"The script is currently viewed by Chris Tucker," he said. "Personally, I feel that if he were to pick it up, it would be better if we turned it into 'Rush Hour 4,' but I do think that three movies for the franchise is a perfect ending. It would be better to start a new buddy movie with someone new."

Good to see Chris Tucker back to film relevancy in Silver Linings Playbook.

Good to see Jackie's still getting movies. Tucker and Cube need to hurry up with this next Friday movie... and a new Rush Hour doesn't sound bad.

I agree with what he said about RH4. Three movies is good enough and they don't need to push it.

Yeah, and have you guys seen Chris Tucker lately? Jeez..

we need a new great buddy cop film we have had rush hour, lethal weapon, bad boys, beverlyhills cop but we havent had a new fresh duo since rush hour
