Ryan Reynolds is the Green Lantern

Reynolds is 6' tall. Most of the modern day actors who have played Superman have been at least 6'3". I wouldn't be too worried about the height of whomever they cast for that role. I am sure they know the requirements.

Also another thing it probably wont matter either. Its not likely we would be seeing ryan's gl teaming up with the new superman any time soon.

it would be the end of the world if fanboys made movies on their own.

Too true. Instead of making a coherent and good story, it would only be filled with their wet dreams and constant references and God knows what else. And everything would be rated R.

with Watchmen, it wasn't directed by a fanboy per say; just a fan of comics.

Well.

Snyder is one of those directors that is a comic fan but tends to lean towards the fanboy side.

Watchmen and 300 IMO really show this but with that said he makes it work as where fanboys would make some kind of hilarious monstrosity.

i think Doctor Jones is referencing the stereotypical fanboys that you'll see on imdb.com, the main page of superherohype.com and youtube.com. THOSE people. haha.

In most cases, the people on superherohype forum in most cases are fun, reasonable people. But you'll get those crazies here sometimes. lol.

In his interview, Geoff Johns' kinda hints at GL being the starting point of a greater DC film universe. I'm assuming something like what Marvel did with Iron Man.

No way in hell will DC/WB let Marvel do an Avengers movie without trying to one-up them with a JL movie.

yea i know and i hope we will get to see a greater dc film verse like marvel studios is setting up for their marvel films. But we will have to see other films get developments and make it into the screens soon if they want to get things combined and all that.

Yep. Ironically, those are the fanboys that criticize him. Because, you know, he RUINED Watchmen because they didn't like a music choice in some scene or another and because Dr. Mahattan's junk was WAAAAAY bigger than it was in the comics.

Don't forget no squid! Honestly, that thing would have been too ridiculous on film.

I liked the fact that they didn't use the squid. But..

Minor rant:

While it's trivial, I just thought that they probably should have just cut out that lynx creature that Ozzy had. The whole point of the Lynx was to tie him to Ozzy's experiment with the squid in the end of the book; planting the seeds if you will. So it's a off hand reference to Ozzy's research and genetic mixing.

But in the movie, the lynx lost meaning nor did he looked that good..

This shot from the Oscars last night, he looks like Hal now. The hair is the thing.

yeah, he grew out his hair and has it part to the left now (normally, I think his hair is either slick back or spiked)

yea he is looks good, cant wait to see the first look of him in costume/mask and all that.

Ryan is 6'2 actually.

The SUPERMAN actor needs to be 6'2 or taller IMO.

Ryan's looking good! the longer hair also shows his higher hair line. Makes him look a little older but waaay more mature. I could see him in a bomber jacket and aviators lol.

I trust you Geoff! dont let us down!

When he started presenting at the Oscars, the first thing I thought was that he was looking now like he probably will for the role.
