Wonder who Novak is playing. Just a businessman? Maybe a scientist? He has a rather nerdy professor look in that pic.

Don't know about the game continuity, but I can see him as Alistair Smythe.

Maybe. I don't think he will play an incredibly important character to be honest.

Man, the casting for this thing is all over the map.

Kinda looks like an Ultimate Octavious when you think about it so that's not too far fetched Nickoray

I was thinking more Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon Otto. He's definitely got the outfit down. Just more skinny.

How crazy would it be if he were [BLACKOUT]Professor Miles Warren[/BLACKOUT].

I know, I know, not gonna happen... just throwing it out there for fun.

He does give off a creepy nerd vibe. Yet his character on the show was not devoid of getting ass.

Why does everyone always think that a new actor is playing some major character? I don't think people realize how many extra non-comic book characters there are in a film like this--who are playing simple and non-important roles.

Because it is fun to speculate?

Oooh, I could totally dig him as Doc Oc--erhm, Otto Octavius...I'm down for a thin Otto. Why not?

He's got the big ol glasses, so maybe a Richard Parker flashback to when he started at Oscorp?

He would be an absolutely awful Doc Oc. luckily I dont think we have to worry about that ever happening.

What led you to that conclusion?

Holy S! Spider-Fan83! Great thinking man. Now if we see a pic with BJ Novak and the old Oscorp logo, it would make a lot more sense.

It would be cool if he's a young Richard Parker. Even cooler if he's a young Doc Ock.
