Salem - WGN America Entering Into Original Programming

I liked this pilot. There's some good places they can go with this, so I'm going to stick around to see where they're going. Captain Alden is pretty cool. I loved how he is so unimpressed with the Puritan ******** in the town. "She doesn't need your prayers. She needs a doctor." The dude has zero ****s to give.

One thing that annoyed me was Janet Montgomery's accent. I know she's British, but it's weird hearing her speaking with a British accent while everyone else does not. It's like they started off trying to have her speak without it, but as the show went on it's like they stopped trying. Ashley Madekwe's accent was all over the place. First she sounded American, then British, and by the end of the episode she was sounding like Miss Cleo.

Good pilot. I was surprised at how good it looked. I thought it would look sort of cheap.

The demons, the hag demon witch, and the weird orgy in the woods were very cool.

Ill be watching.

Oh yeah, the sex scene with Cotton and the prostitute was funny as hell.

I thought Ashley Madekwe was going for a Caribbean accent. Her husband Iddo Goldberg (Isaac) had the same accent he used in Mob City. Tamzin Merchant American accent is solid.

I like Shane West and a few of the other actors but the story so far hasn't hooked me. I haven't seen the third episode yet so I'm not ready to call it quits and they are moving forward with their plot but so far it just feels like a lesser Game of Thrones set in Salem.

I couldn't even finish episode 2. Pretty much hated every minute; I made it through about 30 minutes.

Already? Oh well. I'm not complaining. So far so good. It's reminding me a bit of Shaka Zulu where it mixes mysticism with history. I'm liking how they are building a coven of witches going against each other internally. It should give the story a lot to build on.

Haven't seen this week's episode yet but the first two were great. I'm loving this show. Shane West has improved a lot since his "Tom Sawyer" days, lol. And it's good to see Seth Gabol back to playing a believable nutcase instead of just hamming it up like he did on Arrow ("NO WITNESSES! JAZZ HANDS!"). Also, love Janet Montgomery.

Anyone still watching this? I think the show just keeps getting better and better. I absolutely LOVE Stephen Lang and it's great to see him playing a vicious bastard once again. I hope he's back as a series regular in season 2.

Yeah, I am watching it. I like it. It has a nice vibe to it and I agree Lang is a good addition.

With three episodes left I'm excited for the way things are going. It's still hard to pick someone to root for because a lot of people have some dirt, but damn if it's not interesting with how they've set things up. Tituba is probably the easiest to root for with her backstory, but man Cotton is just insanely interesting. He does some crazy Puritan **** one minute, but then he does something that's oddly cool.

The uprising teen witch coven is compelling, but their "leader" is a crazy ***** that needs to be put down. We'll see if she gets what's coming to her. Same with Increase. He's kinda badass, but his ass is too unhinged. He's right about the witches, but like his son he's a hot cup of psycho.

I just find this show very entertaining. At this point, it's more enjoyable than True Blood, which I stopped watching. I agree it's hard to root for anyone. Has there been any word on if it's been renewed?

I like how they wrapped things up for this season. While some people got what was coming to them I find myself wanting to see some other people get what's coming to them in season 2.

Good finale. I was surprised to see Hale die though. That was a shocker. But what a way for him and his wife to go out! lol
