Comics Sales numbers

^Impossible to say, but you could probably look at IMs relaunch a few years ago and see how well that sold.

And I don't think the movie drew more and different people into the comic shops. I just think that a lot of comic fans (but non-IM fans) saw the movie, and liked it, and decided to pick up the new book. (What were the sales for the existing one? I bet it didn't get that big of a bump.) If this is the case, AND Marvel actually planned it that way, kudos to them. I'm sure there will be a dropoff, but always better to start off with a big number...

7 Batman 676 $2.99 DC 105,008
9 Batman 677 $2.99 DC 96,088

7 Batman #676 - 115,345
9 Batman #677 - 105,547

That's why there's a difference in the numbers. I'm guessing Galactus got his figures from icv2, which probably used Batman #676 for their estimates. CBR then used the higher-selling issue, #677, and thus we got higher sales numbers across the board. There's no way to tell where the real numbers lie since Batman is in event mode now with the RIP storyline.
