I hope ScareCrow puts up more of fight in this one; a pitchfork would be awsome and maybe a little bit of that ScareCrow kun-fu. Not like kung-fu but something he copied off of since his last encounter with Bats.

Seems more and more like Scarecrow's gonna be just as much of a pushover as in BB in TDK if not more. Especially with Two-Face, possibly Riddler and Joker being in the movie.

I like that he's in the movie, but I hope we get to see him on that horse again.

that will be something to see. :whatever:

I'm kinda hoping they keep the 'crane style' (the violent dancing as he put it) out of the film...

The Scarecrow has always been his best when he relied on his fear gas. Without the gas? The punch to the ribs and he goes down like anyone else. But when you're gassed? You belong to the Scarecrow. =)

its been confirmed a while back that Scarecrow's role isnt as big in TDK as it was for BB.

i always felt this is more of a transitioning move to connect BB to the events of TDK. it makes sense to have Scarecrow be at the start of the film and Two Face at the end of TDK which will then serve to transition that into Film3.

Which comic is this? I'd like to see that event!! :-)
I believe it took place in an issue of Detective Comics following the "Breaking of Batman". Can't remember the specific number of the issue, but it's definately apart of the Knightfall saga.

Although we know Scarecrow is back for TDK, who is actually under the mask? Is it Cillian Murphy? If a director really wanted to, they could save a lot of cash and never remove the mask (then have him knocked off by the Joker). I just don't see Nolan doing that to Cillian, but I would love to see the Joker hang'em.

We've seen Cillian on set without the mask.

I dont feel that Scarecrow was a push over - who else has the balls to put Batman in a hallucinogenic stage and say "oh you look like you need a drink.... IMO you need to lighten up" in a very and most excellent callous manner.

He wasnt a pushover. He was Scarecrow Scarecrow Scarecrow! RARRRRRHHHH

No he doesn't HAVE to, and he won't. You don't make people go back to the first movie of a trilogy in order to understand the third. He'd need to be present in TDK for it to work.

It's funny that you say this, since this is a staple of trilogies to go back to the first film and re-write something you thought was true from the beginning.

I mean Spiderman 3 with Ben Parker, Star Wars with Leia and Luke being brother/sister, Scream 3 with the half brother... I mean have you ever seen a trilogy? Or even a movie that makes fun of a trilogy - cause this is just too ironic, I hope it was a joke.

That being said, he doesn't HAVE to come back, but it's not impossible either.

i think scarecrow wont be such a pushover, as u can see from some of the spy pics. i think he leds a gang.
so that may be some indication.

He lead a gang in the last movie too. Doesn't make a difference. They drop like flies in the presence of The Bat. Probably gases him and a chase scene ensues or something.

Not Scarecrow news exactly, but it appears there are some congratulations are in order for Mr. Murphy

In a recent interview from Sienna Miller, she was quoted saying this: "Oh, I’m linked to everyone I worked with. I just started this film with Cillian Murphy, who’s having his second baby with his wife, and they started writing that we were having an affair when we hadn’t shot one scene together." If you want to read the rest of the interview, here it is - http://nymag.com/movies/features/34430/

Cillian's already a father of a one year old son named Malachy with his wife, Yvonne McGuinness. However, there isn't much news from Cillian's front to confirm whether this is true or not, but regardless, this sounds great, and we wish him and his family all the best!

I assume that Joker is one of the inmates that escaped from Arkum Asylum in the last film. Seeing as though Scarecrow used to be a doctor at Arkum, I predict that Batman and/or Rachel Dawes will try to locate Scarecrow in an attempt to gain more information about Joker. It is possible for that to happen along with Scarecrow leading a gang.

ROFKLELMAKO at bringing back such a dorky villain. Scarecrow IMO is a top 5 Batman villain but he'll just get tooled here IMO. IMO IMO IMO

That'd be cool, Joker could have been one of the inmates Crane worked on before the jailbreak..

I hope not. I don't want Joker and Scarecrow having any connections. Already had that in BB with Scarecrow, Falcone, and Ra's.

any new spy pics of cillian murpy as the scarecrow.

I make my tier list of villians like this:

Joker

Maroni

Scarecrow Gamble

I meant that Ra's would somehow need to be referenced in the second movie to be bought back in the third. Ben Parker and Luke/Leia are consistent overarching characters through out the whole trilogy. Scream 3 can go to hell I don't know what you're talking about or why you'd even mention it. Point is, you don't completely drop something and then bring it back 6 years later and yell "suprise!" like you've done something clever. It'd be weak. Most people forget the plot in the movies they see. Move on.

Whilst I'm looking forward to a Scarecrow / Joker face-off, and even for the Joker to get a dose of fear toxin, without effect, I would not like to see them team-up at all. Would be too reminiscent of the Burton / Schumacher films and, I think, dilute the threat posed by the Joker. And as for the 'Joker Toxin': no connection to the Fear Toxin, or assistance from the Scarecrow in its creation please. And it should, for this film at least, remain a toxin - injected in close contact (ala Killing Joke) as opposed to a gas. If TDK ends with the city under threat from a gas it will be repeating the ending of BB.
